Soori’s Mandaadi Teaser: A Fierce Battle For Glory In The Regatta!
Actor Soori had a release last year in the action-comedy drama Maaman crafted by Prasanth Pandiyaraj with actress Aishwarya Lekshmi as female lead. The Viduthalai actor is now getting ready for the release of his next sports action thriller movie titled Mandaadi. Director Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, who made his debut with Selfie, has directed the project. He has collaborated with writers R Mohana Vasanthan, Ameer Jamal Khan, and Thiral Sankar to write the script of the movie.
Actress Mahima Nambiar of Iravukku Aayiram Kangal fame has depicted the female lead role in the entertainer. Filming for Mandaadi predominantly happened in Thondi Beach in Ramanathapuram, and in a few coastal zones of Tamil Nadu. The flick is poised to release in theaters worldwide on 10th of September. The makers have been promoting the drama by releasing the first look poster and singles from the album on social media. They have now dropped the teaser of the entertainer.
Taking to his official X timeline, actor Soori himself shared a special poster along with a link to the teaser of Mandaadi and wrote, “Here, we present to you the world of Mandaadi. A nearly one-minute teaser of Mandaadi opens with a team trying to control a sailboat during a regatta. Then we have the voiceover of actor Sathyaraj, “We are not keeping the competition alive and kicking. It is the competition that keeps us alive and kicking.” Then comes a sleek intro of Soori beating someone to a pulp. The teaser ends with actor Sathyaraj telling someone, “If the players are true to the game, the wind and sea will never forsake them.”
The casting crew of the venture also comprises actors Suhas, Ravindra Vijay, Bala Saravanan, Achyuth Kumar, Mithun Jai Sankar, Krish Hassan, Rajesh Gopishetty, Stun Siva, Sathyaraj, Phathmen, Sachana Namidass, Rajapandi, Aadukalam Murugadoss, and Ramachandran.
Music director G V Prakash Kumar has handled musical instruments for the drama. Two songs ‘Madaadi Madaadi’ sung by Ra Vaaheesan & V M Mahalingam lyrics written by Ra Vaaheesan, and ‘Usure Needhan Pulla’ crooned by Kapil Kapilan & Sanjana Kalmanje lyrics penned by Jayashree Mathimaran, is already out from the album.
Cinematographer S R Kathir has shouldered camera for the flick. Editor Pradeep E Ragav has been hired to edit the drama. Art director S J Ram has built sets for the entertainer. Action directors Dhilip Subbarayan, Peter Hein, and Mahesh Mathew have fashioned action blocks in the film. Mandaadi is bankrolled by Elred Kumar along with V Manikandan under the banner house RS Infotainment. Netflix OTT platform has acquired the post theatrical streaming rights of the film.
On the work side, actor Soori is concurrently expecting the release of Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai scripted by Ram in which he has appeared alongside actors Nivin Pauly & Anjali. The Garudan actor is presently engrossed in an untitled project helmed by R Ravikumar, Maattram crafted by Anjathe Sridhar in which he will be working with actors Appukutty & Saalai Ravi, and Iraivan Miga Periyavan directed by Ameer Sultan in which he will be performing with actors Mirnaa & Karu Pazhaniappan.
On the other hand, actress Mahima Nambiar is anticipating her next Tamil outing in Bell Bottom created by Sathyasiva in which she has associated with actor Krishna, and a Telugu release in Comrade Kalyan helmed by Janakiram Marella in which she has romanced actor Sree Vishnu. The Ayngaran actress is now engaged in her upcoming untitled Tamil movie scripted by Pa Vijay in which she will be partnering with actor Prabhu Deva.
