Arvind Swamy, the heartthrob of many ladies in town has enjoyed a great second innings in the industry. A feat which only very few have done in the past. The actor who rejuvenated his career through auteur Mani Ratnam’s directorial Kadal hit the peak of the popularity chart with his much-celebrated antagonist role as Siddharth Abhimanyu in Thani Oruvan filmed by Mohan Raja. The actor who had a last outing in Thalaivii is currently gearing up for the release of his long-delayed movie christened Kallapart. The project is helmed by director Rajapandi.
The project which went on floors back in the year 2019 was hit by covid restrictions in place. As a result it got pushed repeatedly. Finally, we have a positive update on the project. The entertainer which was in the making for a long time has now been wrapped, and is getting shaped in the post production. It has been tagged with a U/A certificate. Now, we have news that the venture is all set to hit the theaters on 24th of this month. The production house is in plans to start the promotion works soon. The trailer and music album of the flick is expected to be released on social media next week.
Writer G. Radhakrishnan has penned the script of the drama. Actress Regina Cassandra will be seen in the female lead role. This film marks the first-time association of the actress with actor Arvind Swamy. Apart from actors Arvind Swamy, and Regina Cassandra, the casting of the flick has Saranya Ponvannan, Hareesh Peradi, Vijay Vasanth, Bharathi, Adheesh Bala, Anandha Raj, and Monicka Siva essaying various other supporting roles. Music director Nivas K Prasanna has handled the musical instruments for the film. Cinematographer Arvind Krishna has cranked the camera for the flick. Editor S. Elayaraja has trimmed the movie. The entertainer is bankrolled by S. Seena under the banner house Moving Frame.
On the work front, actor Arvind Swamy who was last seen on screens in the web drama Thalaivii is currently busy shooting for his upcoming venture titled Vanangamudi under the directorial of film maker Selva in which he will be sharing the screen space with actresses Ritika Singh, Nandita Swetha, Chandini Tamilarasan, and Simran. The actor also has his Tamil Malayalam bilingual project christened Rendagam directed by storyteller Fellini T. P in the post production shaping up for release. Apart from these flicks, the actor has his long-delayed entertainers Naragasooran directed by storyteller Karthick Naren in which he has co starred with actress Shriya Saran, and Sathuranga Vettai 2 directed by H. Vinoth in which he has romanced actress Trisha Krishnan awaiting release.
On the other hand, actress Regina Cassandra who was last seen on screens in the special number ‘Saana Kastham’ in the Telugu drama Acharya is currently busy shooting for her next Tamil Telugu bilingual historical mystery drama Soorpanagai which is directed by filmmaker Caarthick Raju, and for her Telugu flick Saakini Daakini helmed by director Sudheer Varma in which she will be sharing the screen space with actress Nivetha Thomas. Besides these dramas, the actress has Karungaapiyam filmed by Deekay in which she has associated with actresses Kajal Aggarwal, and Janani Iyer, and Borrder directed by Arivazhagan in which she will be seen alongside actor Arun Vijay, in the post production getting shaped for release.
