Actors Kamal Haasan and Silambarasan are gearing up for the release of their most anticipated gangster action film titled Thug Life. The entertainer has been the talk of the town ever since the release of the first single ‘Jinguchaa’. Storyteller Mani Ratnam is in the director’s chair for the project. He has sought the assistance of actor Kamal Haasan in shaping the script. Actress Trisha Krishnan has played the female lead part in the flick. Bollywood actress Sanya Malhotra will debut in Tamil cinema with her extended cameo appearance in the movie. The shoot for the venture took place in many locations in Chennai, Pondicherry, Kanchipuram, New Delhi, and Siberia. The production house has already publicized that the drama will be releasing worldwide in theaters on 5th of June.
Meanwhile, the team has been flying interstates and aggressively promoting the entertainer. Earlier this year they had released the trailer and the first single from the film on social media. They have now shared the second single from the album, and announced that the audio launch event of the movie will take place on 24th of May. Taking to their official X account, the production team of Madras Talkies unveiled a couple of special posters along with a link to the second single ‘Sugar Baby’ from Thug Life and worded, “Sugar Baby Out Now. Singers Alexandra Joy, Sarath Santhosh, and Shuba have crooned the number. Music director A R Rahman has taken care of the musical division of the entertainer. He has also penned the lyrics of the track along with Siva Ananth. The song is mixed and mastered by P A Deepak. The ensemble cast of Thug Life also comprises actors Abhirami, Ashok Selvan, Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Nassar, Vadivukarasi, Pankaj Tripathi, Tanikella Bharani, Vaiyapuri, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Mahesh Manjrekar, Baburaj, Chinni Jayanth, Bagavathi Perumal, Rohit Saraf, Ali Fazal, Nithya Shree, Chetan, Srikanth Menon, and Rajshri Deshpande.
Ravi K Chandran has been trusted with the cinematography department of the entertainer. Editor A Sreekar Prasad has been roped in to chop and patch the flick. Art director R Saravana Abiraman has fashioned the background for the movie. Stunt directors Anbu and Arivu have designed action moves for the drama. Thug Life is produced by Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran under their production banner Raaj Kamal Films International in affiliation with Mani Ratnam and Siva Ananth under the production label Madras Talkies in collaboration with Udhayanidhi Stalin for his home productions Red Giant Movies. The film’s post theatrical digital rights have been sold to Netflix OTT streaming platform for a whooping price of INR 149.7 crore.
On the professional front, actor Kamal Haasan will soon grace the silver screen in the vigilante action thriller movie Indian 3 scripted by S Shankar. The star cast of the entertainer has actors S J Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal, Samuthirakani, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, and Bobby Simha. On the other hand, actress Trisha Krishnan will soon have her next release in Telugu via Vishwambhara helmed by Mallidi Vassishta in which she has been paired with actor Chiranjeevi, and in Malayalam via Ram crafted by Jeethu Joseph in which she will be seen alongside actor Mohanlal. The Good Bad Ugly actress is currently engaged in her upcoming project tentatively christened Suriya 45 directed by RJ Balaji.
