Actor Arun Vijay was last seen on screens in the action drama Yaanai which hit the theaters earlier this month under the direction of director Hari with actress Priya Bhavani Shankar in the female lead. The entertainer has opened up to mixed reviews from the audience and critics. The flick is still being screened in some parts of the state. The Mafia: Chapter 1 star is soon set to make his debut in the digital space with the web series christened Tamil Rockerz. The web series will be available for streaming on SonyLIV 19th of August this year. Actresses Iswarya Menon and Vani Bhojan have played the female lead roles in the web drama. Director Arivazhagan Venkatachalam has helmed the drama. Now, the production house has dropped the trailer of the series.
Actor Arun Vijay himself has shared the trailer on social media. Taking to his official twitter handle the actor shared the trailer, and wrote, “The captivating trailer of Tamil Rockerz is here! Get ready to travel with Rudhra and watch him unravel the mysterious dark web of deceit and lies.” Here is the trailer shared by the actor.
The two minutes odd cut, opens with the announcement from the Tamil Rockerz that they are going to release a big budget film that is poised to hit the screens for Diwali even before its release on their website. The news creates a commotion among the production team. A team led by Rudhra (Arun Vijay) is set up to apprehend them. Though Rudhra hates movies, he sets out to do his police job right. He must track down the anonymous group within a deadline to stop the film from being screened on the website. The trailer ends with Rudhra saying, “You think cinema is about talent, hard work, profit, and loss. But that is not cinema.”
The trailer of the series is fast paced and action packed. There is also a breezy romance angle in the flow. The trailer is sure to fashion great anticipation amidst the Tamil cinema audience. Apart from actors Arun Vijay, and Iswarya Menon, Vani Bhojan, the casting department of the flick has actors Tharun Kumar, G. Marimuthu, Azhagam Perumal, Kakamuttai Ramesh, Sharath Ravi, Vinod Sagar, and Vinodhini Vaidynathan, essaying various other supporting roles. Music director Vikas Badisa has composed the music for the series. Cinematographer Rajasekar has been behind the lens for the web drama. The editing department of the series has been taken care of by editor V. J. Sabu Joseph. The project is produced by Aparna Guhan and Aruna Guhan for the production house AVM Productions.
On the work front, actor Arun Vijay who was last seen on screens in the action drama Yaanai is currently busy shooting for his next venture christened Boxer under the directorial of film maker Vivek in which he has collaborated with actress Ritika Singh, and for Sinam filmed by storyteller Kumaravelan in which he will be romancing actress Palak Lalwani. Apart from these projects, the actor has Agni Siragugal helmed by storyteller Naveen in which he has shared the screen space with actress Akshara Haasan, and Borrder scripted by director Arivazhagan Venkatachalam in which actress Regina Cassandra has played the female lead role, getting tuned in the post production for release.
