Actor Sivakarthikeyan had his last outing via the psychological action thriller Madharaasi crafted by Rajkumar Periasamy with actress Rukmini Vasanth in the female lead role. Actor Ravi Mohan was last seen in the romantic comedy drama Kadhalikka Neramillai helmed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi with actress Nithya Menen as female lead. Both Sivakarthikeyan and Ravi Mohan are now getting ready for their upcoming release Parasakthi.
Director Sudha Kongara, who garnered audience’s attention with Irudhi Suttru and Soorarai Pottru, has directed the entertainer. Writers Arjun Nadesan and Ganeshaa have aided in molding the screenplay of the movie. Sudha Kongara has sought the assistance of Madhan Karky, Shan Karuppusamy, and Arjun Nadesan to pen dialogues for the flick.
Tollywood actress Sreeleela will open her books in Kollywood with her female lead role in the entertainer. Actor Atharvaa has also played a vital part in the flick. Parasakthi is slated for theatrical release on 10th of January. The makers have now unveiled the trailer of the venture on social media.
Taking to their official X profile, the production team of Dawn Pictures dropped a special poster along with a link to the trailer of Parasakthi and captioned it, “Every revolution begins with a question. Right here Presenting the trailer of Parasakthi. Storming screens worldwide on 10th January 2026! Parasakthi From Pongal, Parasakthi From Jan 10. The three minutes odd trailer of Parasakthi opens to actors Sivakarthikeyan and Jayam Ravi clashing with each other on top of a train. The scene cuts to a train operator telling Sivakarthikeyan, “Tell me in Hindi Madharasi.” To which he responds, “If Madharasi comes to Delhi, he will talk in Hindi. If a Hindi man comes to Madurai, he should speak in Tamil.” Following which we have montages of romantic portions between Sivakarthikeyan and Sreeleela.
Then we have the intro of actor Ravi Mohan who says, “The fire spurred by students of chemistry will blaze faster.” In a shot we see a woman saying, “I think Tamil people are not against Hindi.” To which actor Sivakarthikeyan replies, “We are against Hindi imposition, not against Hindi or Hindi speaking people.” The trailer ends with a tied-up Sivakarthikeyan mouthing, “To save my Senthamizh a large army exists.”
The casting crew of Parasakthi also includes actors Kulappulli Leela, Dev Ramnath, Prakash Belawadi, Prithvi Rajan, Chetan, Shaji Chen, Guru Somasundaram, and Papri Ghosh. Telugu actor Rana Daggubati and Malayalam actor Basil Joseph will be seen in cameo roles.
Music composer G V Prakash Kumar has taken care of the musical department of the flick. Three songs ‘Adi Alaye’ penned by Ekadesi crooned by Sean Roldan & Dhee, ‘Ratnamala’ written by Jayashree Mathimaran in the vocals of G V Prakash Kumar, and ‘Namakkana Kaalam’ in the lyrics of Arivu sung by Nakash Aziz, Haricharan, & Velmurugan is out from the album.
Cinematographer Ravi K Chandran has operated camera gears for the film. Editor Sathish Suriya has been contracted to trim the drama. Art director S Annadurai has fashioned the background for the venture. Stunt director Supreme Sundar has engineered action blocks for the project.
Parasakthi is produced by Aakash Baskaran under the production company Dawn Pictures. Actor and politician Udhayanidhi Stalin will be bringing the film to theaters under his production label Red Giant Movies. The satellite rights of the venture, has been acquired by sun tv networks.
On the work front, actor Sivakarthikeyan will soon join the sets of director Venkat Prabhu to shoot for their upcoming project tentatively titled SK 26. He also has a couple of untitled dramas set to be helmed by Cibi Chakaravarthi & Pushkar – Gayatri.
On the other hand, actor Jayam Ravi will soon have back-to-back releases in Karathey Babu filmed by Ganesh K Babu in which he has partnered with actors Nassar, Shakthi Vasudevan, & K S Ravi Kumar, and Genie scripted by Bhuvanesh Arjunan in which he has teamed up with actresses Krithi Shetty & Kalyani Priyadarshan. The Brother actor is currently occupied in his next entertainer Bro Code directed by Karthik Yogi in which he will be performing alongside actress Sri Gouri Priya, and Thani Oruvan 2 crafted by Mohan Raja in which he will be co-starring with actress Nayanthara.
