Actor Sivakarthikeyan for some reasons has decelerated the velocity at which he churns out projects. The Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam actor used to deliver 3 movies in a calendar year at the initial stage of his career. Now he has limited it to one per year. The actor was last seen on screens in the comedy drama Don which hit the theaters under the direction of storyteller Cibi Chakaravarthi with actress Priyanka Arul Mohan in the female lead role. The flick got released amid high expectations among the fans of the star. Unfortunately, it opened up to mixed reviews and did not live up to the expectations. But despite that managed to do a decent business. The actor who is basking in the success of Don has now moved on to his next venture christened Maaveeran. Director Madonne Ashwin will be directing the drama. Actress Aditi Shankar will be seen in the female lead part. The entertainer recently went on floors with a small pooja ceremony.
The production house has shared a few snaps from the pooja ceremony of the venture on social media. Director Shankar has attended the event. Taking to their official twitter handle the production house shared the pictures from the ceremony, and wrote, “Maaveeran/ Mahaveerudu shoot began yesterday. In one of the pictures, we see director Shankar with the entire team. In another, we see actor Sivakarthikeyan and actress Aditi Shankar standing either side of the director with Aditi Shankar holding her father’s hand. The collection also includes a photo of actor Sivakarthikeyan and Shankar together. Aditi Shankar is set to make her debut as a lead heroine in actor Karthi starrer Viruman which is poised to hit the theaters this weekend. Maveeran will be her sophomore project. Actor Sivakarthikeyan has grown hair for his role in the movie. The first look poster of the film garnered the attention of the audience and became a talking point as Sivakarthikeyan’s look in the poster sort of resemble superstar Rajinikanth’s celebrated character Suriya from Thalapathy. The first look poster has amplified the expectations of the entertainer.
Besides actors Sivakarthikeyan and Aditi Shankar, Maveeran has actor and director Mysskin portraying the antagonist part. The casting department of the movie has veteran actress Saritha and Yogi babu, essaying pivotal supporting roles. The rest of the cast that will be part of the drama will shortly be finalized, and an update on the same is expected to be made soon. The music for the entertainer will be composed by musician Bharath Sankar. Cinematographer Vidhu Ayyanna will be cranking the camera for the film. The entertainer will be edited by editor Philomin raj. The flick was bankrolled by Arun Viswa under the production house Shanthi Talkies.
On the work front, actor Sivakarthikeyan who was last seen on screens in the action comedy flick Don is currently busy shooting for his next Tamil Telugu bilingual venture titled Prince under the direction of story teller Anudeep K V in which he will be seen alongside Ukrainian actress Maria Ryaboshapka and Sathyaraj. Apart from this venture, the actor has the science fiction project christened Ayalaan directed by film maker R. Ravikumar in which he has shared the screen space with actress Rakul Preet Singh in the post production getting tuned for release.
