Actor Vijay Sethupathi was last seen on screens in the family entertainer Maamanithan which was also directed by film maker Seenu Ramasamy. While actor Vishnu Vishal had his last outing with the crime thriller FIR which hit the theaters under the direction of Manu Anand with actresses Manjima Mohan and Reba Monica John as female leads. Now, both Vijay Sethupathi and Vishnu Vishal will be seen together on screens in the upcoming project titled Idam Porul Yaeval. Story teller Seenu Ramasamy has written and helmed the venture. The project went on floors back in the year 2012 right after the release of director Seenu Ramasamy’s Neerparavai. But due to several financial hurdles the venture repeatedly got pushed and consumed nearly a decade. But now finally all issues have been sorted out, and the project is expected to hit the theaters in near future.
Now, the production house has shared the trailer of the flick on social media. Actor Vijay Sethupathi himself has shared the trailer. Taking to his official twitter account, the actor dropped the trailer and wrote, “Here it is Idam Porul Yaeval trailer.” Here is the post made by the actor.
The almost two-minute trailer cut opens in a village, and gives us a glimpse of the life its lead characters live. From the trailer one can easily sense the typical aura of Seenu Ramasamy’s filmmaking. Idam Porul Yaeval is sure to resonate well among his fans. Speaking to a leading media house in the state about the release of the entertainer, film maker Seenu Ramasamy stated that the legal issues that put the movie in the court have been solved. The production house is yet to decide whether to opt for a theatrical release or to present it in the OTT space. An official release date of the flick is expected to be made soon. Actor Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in the character named Paandi while actor Vishnu Vishal plays Aasaithambi.
Besides actors Vijay Sethupathi and Vishnu Vishal, Idam Porul Yaeval has actresses Aishwarya Rajesh, and Nandita Swetha essaying the female lead parts. The ensemble casting department of the project includes Vadivukkarasi, Bala Saravanan, Azhagam Perumal, Aruldoss, Ilavarasu, Theepetti Ganesan, and Florent Pereira playing various other supporting roles. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for the entertainer. Cinematographer Rahul Dharuman has shouldered the camera for the movie. Editor Kasi Viswanathan has taken care of the editing division of the drama. The venture is produced by N. Lingusamy and N. Subash Chandra Bose for the production house Thirupathi Brothers.
On the work front, actor Vijay Sethupathi who had his last outing in the likes of Maamanithan is currently busy shooting for his next Hindi film Mumbaikar filmed by director Santhosh Sivan, for Gandhi Talks scripted by film maker Kishor Pandurang Belekar, and Merry Christmas. Besides these flicks, the actor has Viduthalai scripted by film maker Vetrimaaran in which he has co starred with actor Soori, and his Hindi web drama titled Farzi directed by storyteller Krishna D. K in the post production getting fine-tuned for release. On the other hand, actor Vishnu Vishal who was last seen on screens in the action thriller FIR is getting ready for the release of his next entertainer christened Mohan Das helmed by Murali Karthick in which he has romanced actress Aishwarya Rajesh. The Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran actor will soon start to shoot for the sequel of his superhit project Ratsasan which is set to be filmed by director Ram Kumar. Apart from these movies, the actor has his long-delayed flick Veera Dheera Sooran directed by story teller Shankar Dayal in the shelves waiting to see the daylight.
