Madhavan’s GDN Trailer: An Uplifting Journey Unfolding Amidst The British Occupation Of India!
Actor Madhavan was last seen on screens in Bollywood in the spy action thriller drama Dhurandhar: The Revenge crafted by Aditya Dhar with actors Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun in lead roles. The Run actor is now eagerly promoting his upcoming biographical film titled GDN. Director Krishnakumar Ramakumar, who directed a short in the anthology series Modern Love Chennai, has penned and directed the entertainer. He has shaped the screenplay of the film along with actor Madhavan.
Actress Dushara Vijayan of Sarpatta Parambarai fame has depicted the role of actor Madhavan’s wife in the venture. Actress Priyamani will be seen in a crucial part in the film. The production house has already announced that the flick will be arriving in theaters worldwide on 17th of July in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. Meanwhile, they have now dropped the trailer of the entertainer on social media.
Taking to their official X handle, the team of Divo Music shared the trailer of GDN and wrote, “Before the technology boom, there was one man who dared to reinvent the future. The three minute trailer of GDN opens to the voiceover of actor Ramesh Tilak, “In his old age he went mad and bombed his own building.” The scene shifts to an English man asking someone, “Who the hell is this fakir?” He responds, “G D Naidu.” We have the intro of actor Madhavan as GDN to a thumping background score.
Then we have actor Jayaram fuming, “He is making millions via UMS. Started polytechnic, engineering colleges, and charging a bomb as fees. But to pay tax promptly leaves a bitter taste in his mouth?” Following which we see an English man inform actor Vinay, “But his books are clean. And he is working within a system.” He tells him, “You are the system. If his books are clean, Soil them.”
Subsequently, we have actor Jayaram raiding GDN’s place where he says, “According to the information we have received, machines Naidu used for counterfeiting and the fake notes are hoarded here.” In a scene, actor Sathyaraj enounces, “Are not the British our enemies? We should actually be opposing only them. But our own people seem to be our enemies.”
Following which we have an English man asking GDN, “Are you aware where and whom you are talking to?” He responds, “You will very soon understand which land you are in and whom you are talking to.” The trailer ends with actress Aditi Balan mouthing, “If a lion pens the story of a hunt without the hunter, the meaning of bravery will also change.”
GDN is the biopic of renowned inventor, engineer, and industrial pioneer G D Naidu, who is known as the ‘Edison of India.’ Star cast of GDN also has Malayalam actor Jayaram, Vinay Rai, Aditi Balan, Thambi Ramaiah, Karunakaran, Nandalal, Kaniha, Teejay Arunasalam, Ramesh Tilak, Sheela, Mohan Raman, Carl Andrew Harte, Muralidaran, Richard Bhakti Klein and Sathyaraj. Music director Govind Vasantha has scored music for the movie.
Cinematographer Aravind Kamalanathan has shouldered camera for the movie. Editor Bijith Bala has been hired to edit the project. Art director G Durairaj has fashioned sets for the entertainer. GDN is bankrolled by Madhavan himself along with his wife Sarita Madhavan under the production label Tricolor Films in partnership with Vijay Moolan and Varghese Moolan for the production company Varghese Moolan Pictures.

The Minnale actor is now busy with his next Tamil flick Circle created by A L Vijay in which he will be romancing actress Kangana Ranaut.
On the other hand, actress Priyamani is now occupied in her upcoming Telugu film tentatively christened Mega 158 created by Bobby Kolli in which she will be performing with actors Chiranjeevi & Anaswara Rajan, and a Hindi drama Golmaal 5 filmed by Rohit Shetty in which she will be seen alongside actors Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, & Tabu. Actress Dushara Vijayan will soon be seen on screens in Magudam directed and headlined by actor Vishal.
