Actor Madhavan lastly had a release in Hindi cinema via the spy action thriller movie Dhurandhar: The Revenge filmed by Aditya Dhar with actors Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun in lead roles. The Maara actor is now gearing up for the release of his much-anticipated biographical drama titled GDN. Story teller Krishnakumar Ramakumar, who previously helmed a segment in the anthology series Modern Love Chennai, has written and directed the film.
Actress Dushara Vijayan of Sarpatta Parambarai fame has played the part of actor Madhavan’s wife in the movie. Actress Priyamani has essayed a prominent role in the project. We now have news that the drama will be releasing worldwide in theaters on 17th of July in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. The first look poster of GDN has actors Madhavan, Dushara Vijayan, and Sathyaraj standing amidst a crowd. GDN is the biopic of renowned inventor, engineer, and industrial pioneer G D Naidu, who is known as the ‘Edison of India.’ He is credited with manufacturing India’s first homegrown electric motor and four stroke internal combustion engine. GDN was extensively shot across multiple locations in Coimbatore, the birth place of G D Naidu, parts of Dubai, and Germany.
Apart from Madhavan, Priyamani, and Dushara Vijayan, the casting unit of the flick also has Malayalam actor Jayaram, Yogi Babu, Vinay Rai, Thambi Ramaiah, Carl Andrew Harte, Richard Bhakti Klein, Eddy Cheaib, Ved Maddison, and Sathyaraj portraying various supporting characters. Music director Govind Vasantha has been roped in to compose the music for the film.
Cinematographer Aravind Kamalanathan has overseen the cinematography division of the movie. Editor Bhavath Ayan has been brought on board to chop and patch the flick. Art director G Durairaj has engineered sets for the drama. The entertainer is produced by Madhavan himself along with his wife Sarita Madhavan under their home banner Tricolor Films in association with Vijay Moolan and Varghese Moolan for the production label Varghese Moolan Pictures.
On the work front, actor Madhavan will soon have a release in the digital space via Legacy scripted by Charukesh Sekar in which he has starred alongside actors Gautham Ram Karthik, Nimisha Sajayan, & Swasika Vijay, Adhirshtasaali helmed by Mithran Jawahar in which he has costarred with actresses Radhika Sarathkumar & Madonna Sebastian, and a Hindi film Alpha crafted by Shiv Rawail in which he has collaborated with actresses Alia Bhatt & Sharvari.
