Hip Hop Tamizha’s Meesaya Murukku 2 Trailer: A Battle For Musical Recognition!
Actor Hiphop Tamizha Adhi was last seen on screens in the science fiction action thriller Kadaisi Ulaga Por helmed and headlined by himself with actors Natty Subramaniam, Nassar, and Anagha N in the lead roles. The Veeran actor will soon have a release nearly after two years via Meesaya Murukku 2. In addition to headlining the movie, he has also written and directed it. Writers Karan Karky and Nithish D have penned the dialogue for the drama.
Actresses Ramya Ranganathan of Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam fame, Chaithra J Achar of My Lord fame, and Ketika Sharma have starred as leading ladies in the movie. The film was shot mostly in Chennai and partly in Coimbatore. Meesaya Murukku 2 is all set to release in cinemas worldwide on 25th of September. The makers are busy with the drama’s final promotional push. As part of it, they have now released the trailer of the movie on social media.
Taking to their official X timeline, the team of Avni Cinemax dropped a special poster along with a link to the trailer of Meesaya Murukku 2 and wrote, “To wake a generation up to bigger dreams and louder moves. The two minutes odd trailer of Meesaya Murukku 2 begins with the voiceover of Karunakaran telling Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, “Your song, culture . . . it is reminiscent of the hip hop culture in America.” Then a character insults Hiphop Tamizha Adhi’s singing style, “Do you think this is a local bar to play your ‘dandanakka’ song?” He responds, “This is the song of the common man, sir. It will only be loud for you.”
The shot cuts to a man asking Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, “What is your name?” He responds, “Siva, sir.” He asks him, “Are you trained properly?” Subsequently, Hiphop Tamizha Adhi questions his crew, “Would you rather sing gana in a graveyard and on the shores of the Cooum, or perform on a stage in front of an audience at marriage functions?” In a scene he delivers a philosophical quip, “Music is an emotion. How can it be controlled? If it is confined, how can it be art?”
Then we have a scene where actress Ramya Ranganathan asks Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, “This is also music. This is also art. What is the need for class divide within it?” Subsequently, he enquires his crew, “Did the gods say there is distinct music for God and for Death?” The trailer ends with dance master Baba Baskar trying to recall the popular dialogue from the first edition, “There is a dialogue in a film something like, ‘win or lose . . .’”
The star-studded cast of Meesaya Murukku 2 also includes actors Yogi Babu, Nassar, Bagavathi Perumal, Shah Ra, Karunakaran, Aadukalam Naren, Harshath Khan, Sabharish, Baba Baskar, Vijay Varadharaj, and Karunas. Hiphop Tamizha Adhi has also composed music for the film.
Already five songs ‘Aura 10/10’ in the vocals of Hiphop Tamizha Adhi lyrics inked by Thamizh Aadhavan, ‘Pappali Pazhamey’ crooned by Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, Gana Dharani, & Gana Vinod, lyrics written by K R Dharan, ‘Goindhamma’ in the voice of Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, Kaushik Krish, Gana Vinod, & Gana Sudhakar, Gana Ulagam Dharani, ‘Adi Podi’ sung by Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, and ‘Kalaivaniye’ crooned by Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, D Sathya Prakash & Kaushik Krish, is out from the album. Hiphop Tamizha Adhi himself has written lyrics for three tracks in the album.
Cinematographer Balaji Subramanyam has operated camera gear for the film. Editor Fenny Oliver has been hired to trim the movie. Art director V S Dinesh Kumar has built sets for the flick. Stunt director Action Sandhosh has designed action blocks in the drama. Meesaya Murukku 2 is produced by Khushbu Sundar and Anandita Sundar under the banner house Avni Cinemax, in affiliation with ACS Arun Kumar for the production label Benzz Media Pvt Ltd.
On the professional side, actor Hiphop Tamizha Adhi is now busy scoring music for Nayanthara’s Mookuthi Amman 2 filmed by Sundar C with actresses Regena Cassandra, Abhinaya, & Iniya in key roles, and Vishal’s Purushan also directed by Sundar C with actors Tamannaah Bhatia & Yogi Babu in the lead roles.
On the other hand, actress Chaithra J Achar has a bunch of releases in Telugu via Fauzi helmed by Hanu Raghavapudi in which she has appeared alongside actor Prabhas, in Kannada via Geek directed by Hari Prakash in which she has joined forces with actors Praveen Tej & Kiran Srinivas, and Strawberry helmed by Arjun Lewis in which she has worked with actors Sruthi Hariharan & Dheekshith Shetty. The 3BHK actress is now absorbed in her next Tamil flick Arasan crafted by Vetrimaaran in which she will be seen alongside actors Vijay Sethupathi, Silambarasan, & Andrea Jeremiah, and a Kannada venture Laila’s Sweet Dreams scripted by Shakti Prasad in which she will be performing with actors Avinash & Pallavi.
