‘Adi Podi’ From Hip Hop Tamizha’s Meesaya Murukku 2 Is Out!
Actor Hiphop Tamizha Adhi had a release back in 2024 via the science fiction action thriller Kadaisi Ulaga Por directed and headlined by himself with actors Natty Subramaniam, Nassar, and Anagha N in lead roles. The Anbarivu actor will soon have a release this year via the upcoming entertainer Meesaya Murukku 2. Apart from playing the lead, he has also served as the writer and director for the flick. Writers Karan Karky and Nithish D have penned dialogues for the venture.
Actresses Chaithra J Achar of My Lord fame and Ketika Sharma have essayed the female lead roles in the drama. Meesaya Murukku 2 was extensively shot in and around Chennai and parts of Coimbatore. The makers have been promoting the project by dropping singles from the album on social media. They have now shared the fourth single from the entertainer.
Taking to their official X account, the team of Avni Cinemax released a small clip along with a link to the song ‘Adi Podi’ from Meesaya Murukku 2 and worded, “Let the love loop take over . . . Hiphop Tamizha Adhi himself has inked lyrics and sung the song. The track is mixed by Gethin John and mastered by Donal Whelan. Dance choreographer Raghu Thapa has designed dance moves for the number. Actor Hiphop Tamizha Adhi has also composed music for the film.
Already three singles ‘Aura 10/10’ sung by Hiphop Tamizha Adhi lyrics penned by Thamizh Aadhavan, ‘Pappali Pazhamey’ in the voice of Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, Gana Vinod, & Gana Dharani lyrics inked by K R Dharan, and ‘Goindhamma’ crooned by Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, Kaushik Krish, Gana Vinod, Gana Ulagam Dharani, & Gana Sudhakar lyrics written by Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, is out from the album.
Hiphop Tamizha Adhi has depicted three different roles in the venture. The casting team of Meesaya Murukku 2 also comprises actors Yogi Babu, Ramya Ranganathan, Nassar, Shah Ra, Aadukalam Naren, Bagavathi Perumal, Karunakaran, Harshath Khan, Vijay Varadharaj, Sabharish, Baba Baskar, and Karunas. Cinematographer Balaji Subramanyam has shouldered camera for the flick.
Editor Fenny Oliver has been signed in to trim the film. Art director V S Dinesh Kumar has erected sets for the venture. Stunt man Action Sandhosh has engineered action moves for the project. Meesaya Murukku 2 is backed by Khushbu Sundar and Anandita Sundar under the production banner Avni Cinemax along with ACS Arun Kumar for the production house Benzz Media Pvt Ltd.
On the professional front, actor Hiphop Tamizha Adhi is simultaneously working as a musician for Vishal’s Purushan created by Sundar C with actors Tamannaah Bhatia and Yogi Babu in lead roles, and Nayanthara’s Mookuthi Amman 2 also directed by Sundar C with actresses Regena Cassandra, Abhinaya, and Iniya in pivotal roles.
On the other hand, actress Chaithra J Achar is expecting the release of her next Kannada film Strawberry scripted by Arjun Lewis in which she will be seen alongside actors Sruthi Hariharan and Dheekshith Shetty. The 3BHK actress is now occupied in her future Tamil project Arasan created by Vetrimaaran in which she will be collaborating with actors Vijay Sethupathi, Silambarasan, & Andrea Jeremiah, a Telugu flick Fauzi directed by Hanu Raghavapudi in which she will be featuring with actor Prabhas, two of her Kannada dramas Uttarakaanda crafted by Rohit Padaki in which she will be performing with actors Shiva Rajkumar, Aishwarya Rajesh, & Bhavana Menon, and Laila’s Sweet Dreams helmed by Shakti Prasad.
