Actor Legend Saravanan made his debut in Tamil cinema via the 2022 film The Legend scripted by J D Jerry with actresses Urvashi Rautela and Geethika Tiwary as female leads. The star is currently busy shooting for his next action thriller titled Leader. Director Durai Senthilkumar, who is known for entertainers like Ethir Neechal and Kodi, has inked and is directing the movie. Writer Arun Chandran has offered his assistance in penning dialogues.
Actress Payal Rajput of Iruvar Ullam fame will be seen in the female lead part in the entertainer. Actress Andrea Jeremiah will be essaying a pivotal role in the drama. The project recently went on floors with a small pooja ceremony in Chennai. The makers have set April as release window for the film. They have begun to promote the entertainer. As part of it, they have now released a glimpse video from the movie on social media.

Two minute odd glimpse video of Leader opens to a perplexed man asking his counterpart via a call, “Hey! Where did all our nine containers vanish?” He replies, “Brother, our men are looking for it in every nook and corner.” He instructs him, “Bloody! Find out before our boss senses it!” He then informs him, “Brother, all the containers are here! I am not sure who dared to execute this! I will figure it out.”
When he inspects the spot, he sees all the henchmen aboard the truck were beaten to pulp. Then the man asks, “Who has dared to touch our vehicle? Police? Customs? Navy? Or a gangster?” He tells him, “Dad, boss.” He asks in confusion, “What are you bluffing?” He tells him, “Yeah, boss! That child’s dad.” The shot cuts to actor Legend Saravanan brutally thrashing a group of henchmen.
After clearing out everyone he attends a call from their boss who warns him, “Hey, loafer! Are you a superhero?” He responds, “Bloody, yes! In the eyes of his child, every father is a superhero!” The glimpse ends with him enjoying an ice cream with his daughter with trucks busting to flames in the background, and his daughter saying, “I like this flavor daddy!”
Star cast of the flick also comprises actors Lal, Shaam, Santhosh Prathap, Prabhakar, Vel Arunachalam, Amirtha Aiyer, Aranthangi Nisha, VTV Ganesh, Ashok Pandian, Iyal Iyal, Aishwarya, Mariam George, Mahanadhi Shankar, O A K Sunder, and Adithya Kathir. Music composer Ghibran Vaibodha has been roped in to score music for the drama.
Cinematographer S Venkatesh is overseeing the cinematography department of the movie. Editor Pradeep E Ragav has been brought on board to edit the flick. Art director G Durairaj is designing the background for the drama. Stunt director Mahesh Mathew is choreographing action moves for the venture. Leader is bankrolled by Legend Saravanan himself under the production house Legend Saravana Stores Productions.
On the professional side, actress Payal Rajput is staring at successive releases in Golmaal helmed by Ponkumaran in which she has costarred with actors Jiiva & Tanya Hope, and The Great Punjab Robbery scripted by Saurabh Varma in which she has collaborated with actor Vidhi Khanna. The actress is presently shooting for her future flick Daddy O Daddy crafted by Smeep Kang in which she will be sharing screen space with actor Karamjit Anmol, and Venkatalachimi scripted by Muni in which she will be seen alongside actor Saurabh Dhingra.
