Tamil cinema has several actors who are good in comedy. But only a few with the ability to turn even a bad joke in to an enjoyable one. In that list actors Jiiva and Mirchi Shiva hold a top spot. Comedy is a strong suit of them. The duo teamed up for the first time in director Sunder C’s Kalakalappu 2 which went on to do well in the box office. Following the success of it, they again teamed up for a project titled Golmaal which was launched last year. The production unit had planned to wrap up the entertainer with a single schedule.
Seems like things have gone according to the plan. The unit have been shooting in Mauritius for the past few weeks. Now, we have news that the team has wrapped up the shoot. Actress Payal Rajput has shared pictures from the final day of the shoot and has officially announced the news. The actress wrote, “It’s a wrap. All good things come to an end. I can’t put in words how much I’m gonna miss u all. Had an amazing time shooting for Golmaal. Thank you for being a super awesome team.”

The post production works are underway. Soon the teaser and trailer of the movie will be released on the social media. There is a popular film franchise with the same name in Bollywood under the direction of film maker Rohit Shetty. To this moment it is unclear whether this film is a remake of it. Guess, we will have to wait until the release of the flick to know it. The film is expected to hit the screens in the month of November this year.
Story teller Pon Kumaran who wrote Superstar Rajinikanth’s Lingaa made his debut in Kannada film industry with Chaarulatha starring actress Priya Mani. The director is set to make his direct Tamil film debut with Golmaal. It also marks the debut of actress Payal Rajput as female lead in Tamil cinema. She will be sharing the screen space with Dharala Prabhu fame actress Tanya Hope. The film has an ensemble cast that includes Yogi Babu, Murali Sharma, Malavika, Mano Bala, George Mariyan, Ramesh Khanna, Karunakaran, Aadukkalam Naren, Sanjana Singh, Mottai Rajendran, Panju Subbu, Sadhu Gokila, Vipin Sidharth, and KSG Venkatesh. Music director Arul Dev is handling the musical instruments. The film has cinematography by S. Saravanan. Editor Don Bosco will be taking care of the editing department. The project is bankrolled by Vinod Jain under the banner house Jaguar Studios.
On the work front, actor Jiiva who was last seen in the biopic of cricket legend Kapil Dev’s 83, will next have a release in Methavi directed by Pa. Vijay. Following which he will be seen in director Santhosh Rajan’s Varalaru Mukkiyam and in story teller Sunder C’s next project. On the other hand, actor Mirchi Shiva is gearing up for the release of Idiot, Sumo, Saloon, Singled Shankarum Smartphone Simranum, and Kasethan Kadavulada.
