Actor Kavin Raj was last seen on screens in the action thriller movie Mask directed by debutant director Vikarnan Ashok with actress Andrea Jeremiah in the female lead role. The Dada actor is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming romantic flick titled Hi. Lyricist Vishnu Edavan will make his debut as a director with the film. He has co-written the script with writer C U Muthuselvan.
Actress Nayanthara has been paired with the actor for the first time in her career. The shoot for the drama predominantly took place in and around the regions of Chennai and Hyderabad. The production house is eyeing to bring the movie to theaters by the end of this month. An official announcement regarding the release date is expected to be made soon. Meanwhile, they have begun to promote the film across all platforms. As part of it, they have now released the first single ‘Kannukuzhiya’ from the flick on social media.
Taking to their official X account, the production team of Seven Screens Studio dropped a special poster along with a link to the first single ‘Kannukuzhiya’ from Hi and captioned it, “Say Hi 🙂 to your new favorite song Kannukuzhiya is Out Now! Musician G V Prakash Kumar has lent his voice for the song. Director and lyricist Vishnu Edavan himself has penned lyrics for the number. The song has been mixed and mastered by Sujith Sreedhar. Dance master Brinda has choreographed dance moves for the track. Music composer Jen Martin has worked on the musical department of the drama. This will be his fourth association with actor Kavin after their successful outings in Dada, Bloody Beggar, and Kiss.
Apart from Kavin and Nayanthara, the casting crew of the flick also has actors Prabhu, Bhagyaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Kaviya Arivumani, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Vtv Ganesh, Sathyan, Mirchy Kemy, Aadhithya Kadhir, Kureshi, Amrudha Srinivasan, and Fepsi Vijayan playing various supporting roles. Cinematographer Rajesh Shukla has taken care of the cinematography division of the movie.
Editor Philomin Raj has been brought on board to chop and patch the entertainer. Art directors Kannan S and Sekar B have designed backgrounds for the drama. Action director Dinesh Kasi has choreographed action moves for the flick. The film is backed by S S Lalit Kumar under the production label 7 Screen Studio, in association with Nayanthara & Vignesh Shivan under the production company Rowdy Pictures, along with Umesh Kumar Bansal for the banner house Zee Studios.
On the professional front, actor Kavin Raj is currently busy shooting for his next project tentatively titled Kavin 09 crafted by director Ken Royson in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Priyanka Arulmohan & Sandy Master, and Kavin 11 filmed by story teller Praveen Paramasivam.
On the other hand, actress Nayanthara is staring at consecutive releases in Mookuthi Amman 2 scripted by Sundar C in which she has costarred with actresses Regina Cassandra & Abhinaya, a Malayalam movie Dear Students helmed by Sandeep Kumar & George Philip Roy in which she has romanced actor Nivin Pauly, and a Kannada flick Toxic filmed by Geethu Mohandas in which she will be seen alongside actor Yash. The Iraivan actress is now engaged in her next venture Benz directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan in which she will be teaming up with actors Raghava Lawrence, Nivin Pauly, & Samyuktha Menon, and Thani Oruvan 2 crafted by Mohan Raja in which she will be collaborating with actor Ravi Mohan.
