Actor Kavin ventured into Tamil cinema back in 2012 with his uncredited roles in Pizza and Indru Netru Naalai, and followed it with a supporting role in Sathriyan. Unfortunately, his role in the film did not hand him a break. In the year 2019, the actor was one of the contestants of the television show Big boss. The show brought him to the limelight, and earned him a huge following in the state. Subsequently, he made his debut as a lead hero in the flick Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma. The flick did not live up to the expectations of the audience, and left the theaters unnoticed. The actor followed it with another drama titled Lift which hit the screens under the direction of story teller Vineeth Varaprasad with actress Amritha Aiyer. The entertainer opened to negative reviews, and fell flat in the box office. Now, the actor has put that behind him, and is gearing up for the release of his next drama christened Dada. Debutant director Ganesh K Babu has penned and directed the drama. The movie which went on floors last year, is now done and dusted, ready for release.

Now, the production house has shared the release date of the film on social media. Dada is all set to hit the theaters on 10th of February this year. Presenter Red Giant Movies has announced the news. Taking to their official twitter account, the production company shared a poster from the movie, and wrote, “Bringing to you the story about unconditional love, struggle, conflict & more, Dada in cinemas from Feb 10th!” Here is the tweet made by the production unit.

Dada is touted to be a contemporary romance drama that will capture the shift in lifestyle in this generation, and issues in today’s relationships. The story of the film is said to be about a couple who get caught in an unplanned pregnancy situation, and how they deal with aftermath events. The production house had recently sent the film to the censor board for certification. The censor board has tagged a clean U certificate on the flick. The production team has already begun promotional works. They had released the teaser of the flick earlier this year. The teaser has garnered the attention of the audience, and has clocked millions of views till date. A video song ‘Kirutu Kirutu’ choreographed by Sandy Master was released, and enjoyed a great reception among the audience. The trailer of the project is expected to be unveiled in days to come.
Apart from actor Kavin, Dada has actress Aparna Das of Beast fame playing the female lead role. The casting department of the dramas has actors K Bhagyaraj, Aishwarya Baskaran, Ilan, VTV Ganesh, Pradeep Antony, and Harish K Fouziee essaying various other supporting roles. Music director Jen Martin has composed music for the entertainer. Cinematographer Ezhil Arasu K has been behind the lens for the drama. Editor Kathiresh Alagesan has been roped in to edit the flick. Master Knife Naren has designed action blocks for the venture. Art director Shanmuga Raj has shaped the background for the film. The project is funded by S Ambeth Kumar under the production company Olympia Movies. Politician Udhayanidhi of Red Giant Movies has bagged the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the flick.
On the work front, actor Kavin who was last seen on screens in Lift is currently busy shooting for his next project titled Oor Kuruvi under the direction of story teller Arun K in which he will be sharing the screen space with actress Vani Bhojan.
