Prabhu Deva, the dancing sensation turned hero was last seen on screens in Poikkal Kuthirai which hit the theaters under the direction of Santhosh P Jayakumar with actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Raiza Wilson in pivotal roles. The entertainer opened to negative reviews. Thus, had a bad commercial business. Now, the actor has put that behind him, and has moved on to his next flick titled Wolf. The film is written and directed by storyteller Vinoo Venkatesh. The project went on floors with a small pooja ceremony at the beginning of last year. The shoot was wrapped in a short schedule of 65 days, and the entertainer was sent to the post production stage. For some unknown reason the release of the drama got delayed for so long. But finally, the project is now done and dusted ready for release.
The production unit has shared the first look poster of Wolf on social media, and has announced the month of release of the project. Actor Prabhu Deva himself has shared the news. The first look poster of Wolf has actor Prabhu Deva in the middle of images of a wolf pack. The overall theme of the poster is dark. Hinting a sly and shady tone to actor Prabhu Deva’s character. The first look poster has intrigued the audience, and has engendered high expectations on the venture. Wolf is touted to be a psychological science fiction movie. It is said that the production house is eyeing to bring the entertainer to theaters in March of this year, and are currently working to block a date for the release. The movie will have a pan India release in languages Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. The teaser and trailer of the flick are expected to be released in days to come.
Apart from actor Prabhu Deva, Wolf has actress Anju Kurian portraying the female lead part. The casting division of the flick has actors Lakshmi Rai, M S Bhaskar, RJ Ramesh Thilak, Vasishta N Simha, and Anasuya Bharadwaj in various other supporting roles. Music director Amrish has handled musical instruments for the film. Cinematographer Arul Vincent has taken care of the cinematography department of the drama. Editor Lawrence Kishore has edited the entertainer. Art director Manimozhian Ramadurai has designed the background for the flick. Stunt master Pradeep Dinesh has choreographed action moves for the drama. The venture is bankrolled by N Sandesh under the banner house Sandesh Productions.
On the work front, actor Prabhudeva who was last seen in the action thriller flick Poikkal Kuthirai is currently busy shooting for his next project title Musasi crafted by filmmaker Sam Rodrigues in which he will be associating with actor Master Mahendran, Rekla directed by Anbu in which he will be sharing the screen space with actress Vani Bhojan, for Oomai Vizhigal under the direction of story teller V. S. in which he will be seen alongside actress Mamta Mohandas, for Flashback filmed by filmmaker Don Sandy in which he will be co starring with actresses Regina Cassandra and Anasuya Bharadwaj, and for his Kannada projects Karataka Damanaka filmed by Yogaraj Bhat in which he will be collaborating with actor Shivarajkumar, and Lucky Man. Apart from these projects, the actor has his long-delayed movie christened Bagheera crafted by story teller Adhik Ravichandran in which he has romanced actress Amyra Dastur, and Yung Mung Sung scripted by storyteller M. S. Arjun in the box waiting to see the light of day.
