Actor Suriya last graced the silver screens in the romantic action thriller Retro crafted by Karthik Subbaraj with actress Pooja Hegde in the female lead role. The Thaanaa Serndha Koottam star is now eagerly anticipating the release of his next action entertainer Karuppu. Actor RJ Balaji, who worked as a co-director in his previous movies Mookuthi Amman and Veetla Vishesham, will mark his debut as a director with the drama. Writers Ashwin Ravichandran, Karan Aravind Kumar, Rahul Raj, and T S Gopi Krishnan have aided in setting the narrative rhythm of the movie.
Actress Trisha Krishnan will be seen in the female lead role in the entertainer. She is teaming up with actor Suriya for the fourth time following their success in Aaytha Ezhuthu, Mounam Pesiyadhe, and Aaru. The shoot for Karuppu took place across multiple localities in Chennai, Coimbatore, Pollachi, and Hyderabad. The makers have already publicized that the drama will be releasing worldwide in theaters on 14th of May. They had recently shared a couple of singles from the film on social media. They have now released the fourth song from the album.

Singers Sai Abhyankkar and V M Mahalingam have crooned the track. Lyricist Pa Vijay has written the lyrics of the song. The number is mixed by Sai Abhyankkar and mastered by Akash Shravan. Dance master Azar has choreographed dance moves for the song.
Music director Sai Abhyankkar has composed music for the entertainer. Already three songs ‘God Mode’ sung by Sai Abhyankkar & Gana Muthu in the lyrics of Vishnu Edavan, ‘Naanga Naalu Peru’ in the vocals of Silambarasan lyrics written by Asal Kolaar, and ‘Raathu Raasan’ in the voice of Sai Abhyankkar, V M Mahalingam, & Paal Dabba lyrics penned by Vivek, is out from the album.
Apart from Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, the star cast of the film also has actors Natty Subramaniam, Sshivada, Prakash Raj, Yogi Babu, Kaali Venkat, Anagha Maaya Ravi, Supreeth Reddy, Swasika Vijay, Jafar Sadiq, Indrans, Naga Sai, and Mansoor Ali Khan in various supporting roles. RJ Balaji is touted to have depicted a cameo part in the flick. Cinematographers G K Vishnu and Kiran Kaushik have taken care of the cinematography department of the venture.
Editor R Kalaivanan has been bestowed with the responsibility to bring coherence to the entertainer. Art director Narendran has designed sets for the project. Action directors Anbu, Arivu, and Vikram Mor have worked in tandem to fashion action blocks for the film. The venture is bankrolled by S R Prakash Babu and S R Prabhu under the production banner Dream Warrior Pictures. The satellite rights of the movie has been acquired by Zee Tamil.
On the work front, actor Suriya will soon be seen on screens in Vishwanath & Sons directed by Venky Atluri in which he has joined forces with actress Mamitha Baiju. The Etharkkum Thunindhavan actor is presently occupied in his upcoming drama tentatively christened Suriya 47 helmed by Jithu Madhavan in which he will be performing alongside actress Nazriya Nazim, Vaadivaasal directed by Vetrimaaran, and an untitled project under the directorial of Mari Selvaraj.
On the other hand, actress Trisha Krishnan will next be seen on screens in Telugu cinema via Vishwambhara scripted by Mallidi Vassishta in which she has partnered with actor Chiranjeevi. The Thug Life actress is now busy with her future venture Maasani Amman directed by RJ Balaji, a Malayalam movie Ram filmed by Jeethu Joseph in which she will be working with actor Mohanlal, and a Hindi film The Bull crafted by Vishnuvardhan in which she will be associating with actor Salman Khan.
