Actress Sai Dhanshika had her last outing in Tamil back in 2021 in a supporting role in the action drama Laabam which hit the screens under the direction of S P Jananathanan with actors Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapathi Babu, and Shruti Haasan in lead roles. The Kaala Koothu actress is now gearing up for the release of her next entertainer titled Yogida in which she has essayed the lead role. Debutant director Goutham Krishna has written and directed the flick. Bollywood actor Kabir Duhan Singh has depicted the antagonist role in the drama. Actors Sayaji Shinde and Raj Kapoor have played key supporting parts in the movie. The project went on floors back in 2018. The entertainer ran in to numerous financial tussles which kept it from theaters. But now everything seems to have been sorted out. An official release date for the venture is expected to be announced soon.
Actor Vishal attended the audio and trailer launch event of the movie held recently in Chennai where actress Sai Dhanshika surprised everyone by announcing that she and Vishal are getting married in August. The makers have now shared the trailer of the film on social media. Taking to his official X handle, actor Vishal dropped the trailer of Yogida and wrote, “Happy to release the trailer of the film YogiDa starring Sai Dhanshika and others produced by Senthil Kumar and directed by Goutham Krishna. Wishing the entire cast and crew, all the very best for the grand success at the box office. The trailer looks very interesting and intriguing. Two minute trailer of Yogida starts with a scene of actress Sai Dhanshika vigorously training on a punching bag. Then we have a voiceover, “There is a drug called Ice methamphetamine. If you use it, you will be high for four days straight.” The shot cuts to actress Sai Dhanshika in the attire of a cop holding a stern expression on her face. In a subsequent scene we witness a character asking a cop, “You have seized it in Vyasarpadi. You very well know who it belongs to.” Following which we are given a few glimpses of actress Sai Dhanshika performing gravity defying stunts. Finally, we have the intro of the antagonist to a voiceover, “Ten years back he was selling weed in a small dead-end street. Drug Babu suddenly became Jhaver Babu.” The trailer ends with a reference to actor Rajinikanth where actress Sai Dhanshika performs the Rajini styled cigarette smoking and tells, “Yogi is a bad girl bro.”
The musical department of the project has been handed over to music composer Deepak Dev. Cinematographer S K A Boopathi has overseen the cinematography department of the movie. Editor G Sasikumar has been brought on board to bring coherence to the film. Art director G S Anandan has designed sets for the entertainer. Action director K Ganesh Kumar has choreographed action blocks for the flick. The drama is produced by V Senthil Kumar under the production label Sri Monica Cini Films.
On the professional front, actress Sai Dhanshika will next be seen on screens in The Proof crafted by director I Radhika in which she will be seen alongside actors Ashok, Riythvika, Ashmitha, Rajasimman, and Mime Gopi.
