Actress Dushara Vijayan has been in the news for a while. Recently she made headlines by bagging an important role in Superstar Rajinikanth starrer “Vettaiyan” and Dhanush starrer “Raayan“. Now the latest buzz is that she is roped in as the female lead for “Chiyaan 62” Directed by SU Arun Kumar of “Chittha” fame. Though the talented actress made her debut in “Bodha Yeri Budhi Maari” in 2019 it was Director Pa. Ranjith’s “Sarpatta Parambarai” has given her a much-needed break. Her Character Pandiamma was well-received and widely appreciated by the audience.

She again teamed up with Director Pa. Ranjith’s next directorial venture “Natchathiram Nagargirathu ” in which she played the role of an enigmatic drama artist Rene. This role has created a healthy debate among socio-political activists regarding character portrayal. She was also seen in movies like “Kazhuvethi Moorkkan” and”Aneethi “. Apart from “Raayan”, “Vettaiyan” and “Chiyaan 62” she is expected to be part of “Sarpatta Parambarai 2”. Ranjith announced this project 6 months back but there is no further development regarding the project.
Coming back to Chiyaan 62 Tushara shared this news on her social media handle X in which she has written a long note about the project and team. “Very happy to work with the legendary @chiyaan sir in #Chiyaan62. “Chiyaan 62” is bankrolled by Riya Shibu of HR Pictures. Apart from Vikram and Dushara Vijayan, the project has SJ Suryah and Suraj Venjaramoodu playing crucial roles. Shooting will commence on April 22 in Madurai and is slated for an early 2025 release.
