Actor Arjun Das did a cameo part in his last outing in the action thriller movie Vikram which hit the theaters under directorial director Lokesh Kanagaraj with actors Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles. The project drew a mixed reaction from critics. However, it set the box office on fire, and amassed massive collections worldwide. The Putham Pudhu Kaalai Vidiyaadhaa actor has now put that behind him and is gearing up for the release of his next Tamil Telugu bilingual entertainer Aneethi in which he has portrayed the lead role. The Telugu installment of the venture is titled Blood & Chocolate. Actress Dushara Vijayan of Natchathiram Nagargiradhu fame has depicted the female lead part. Director Vasanthabalan of Kaaviya Thalaivan fame has written and directed the film. The movie which went on floors last year with a small pooja ceremony is all poised to hit the screens on July 21st.
The production team has now dropped the trailer of the flick on social media. Actor Arjun Das himself has unveiled the trailer. Taking to his official twitter page, the actor shared a snap of himself from the film along with a link to the trailer of Aneethi and wrote, “And it’s here! Aneethi trailer. A Vasanthabalan film! Nearly three minutes of trailer cut opens with a fervent background score to few back view shots of actor Arjun Das. Following which we witness a character castigating the actor, “You are coming to the thirteenth floor without carrying change for 2000 INR. Then why the heck are you working as a delivery boy. They are raving about digital India on television. Are you in India?” Then we have a scene where a character says, “Throughout India privatization is taking grip. If it continues the course, we have to write India and hang a private limited board below it.” The trailer has enjoyed a great reception among the audience and has set high expectations on the venture. Earlier talking to a leading media house in the state, Vasanthabalan said, “Aneethi will be an emotional movie. The story of the drama is centered around corporate layoffs, how that impacts people, especially youngsters, and how they go about life after losing their job. Actor Arjun Das plays an IT employee while actress Dushara Vijayan will be seen as a working middle class woman.”
Apart from actors Arjun Das, and Dushara Vijayan, the casting unit of the entertainer has actress Vanitha Vijaykumar, Sha Ra, Bharani, Suresh Chakravarthi, Pugazh, Aranthangi Nisha, Kaali Venkat, Sarah, Arjun Chidambaram, Subramaniam Siva, J Sathish Kumar, and T Siva essaying various other supporting roles. The musical division of the film has been handled by music director G V Prakash Kumar. Cinematographer A M Edwin Sakay has performed camerawork for the venture. Editor Ravikumar has trimmed the drama. Art director Suresh Kallery has designed the background for the flick. Action directors Don Ashok and Phoenix Prabhu have choreographed action sequences for the movie. The entertainer is bankrolled by G Vasanthabalan for his home banner Pebbles Studio along with Murugan Gnanavel under the production company SR & DS Pictures, and Varadharajan Manickam and M Krishna Kumar for the production company Urban Boyz Studios. The film is presented by director Shankar under his production house S Pictures.
On the work front, actor Arjun Das who had his last outing in Vikram is busy with his next Telugu drama OG helmed by director Sujeeth in which he will be collaborating with actors Pawan Kalyan and Emraan Hashmi. The actor is getting ready for consecutive releases in the likes of Leo crafted by story teller Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he has played a cameo role alongside actor Vijay, and Dhruva Natchathiram directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon in which he has shared screen space with actors Vikram and Ritu Varma. On the other hand, actress Dushara Vijayan who had her last outing in Kazhuvethi Moorkkan is busy shooting for her upcoming drama Raayan. Actor Dhanush will be directing and headlining the entertainer.
