Actor Yogi Babu last graced the silver screens in the comedy film Kenatha Kanom crafted by Suresh Sangaiah with actress Lovelyn Chandrasekar as female lead. The Butler Balu actor is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming comedy entertainer Arjunan Per Paththu. Debutant director R Rajamohan has directed the movie. He has co-written the script with Writer M R Arun Chander.
Small screen actress Anamika Mahi of Veetuku Veedu Vaasapadi fame will be making her debut in Kollywood with a key role in the entertainer. Actor Kaali Venkat has essayed a prominent role in the flick. An official release date for the film is expected to be revealed shortly. Meanwhile, the production team has unveiled the teaser of the entertainer on social media.
Taking to his official X profile, story teller Lokesh Kanagaraj released the teaser of Arjunan Per Paththu and wrote, “Wishing my dear Yogi Babu anna on his 300th Film Arjunan Per Paththu and I’m very happy to present the teaser of the film. My hearty wishes and congratulations to the entire cast and crew Yogi Babu 300th movie, Thangapandi, Rajmohan, D Imman, Pratheep Kaliraja, Anamika Mahi, Kaali, Lenin Bharathi, Myna Nandhini, Mu Kasivishwanathan, Madhan Dhashanamoorthy, Sendrayan, Subramaniam Shiva, Magesbabu Soundarya, DNS Creations, A Raja, Meesaya Murukku.” Here is the post made by the director.
The two minute teaser of Arjunan Per Paththu starts with actor Yogi Babu informing someone via a phone call, “Brother this is my first ride. I will come.” On his way someone steals his mini truck. The shot cuts to actor Yogi Babu expressing his grief to a cop, “I bought this mini truck with my hard-earned savings. They are thieves, sir.” He points to Kaali Venkat and says, “Sir, please probe him. I have seen him with them. He is also a thief.”
In a scene we witness actor Kaali Venkat fuming at Yogi Babu, “I have been searching for this vehicle for five years. It should be me who should be filing a complaint against you.” A cop tells Yogi Babu, “If you do not have any papers for the vehicle, who will believe you.” Then we have many individuals who approach the police claiming ownership of the mini truck.
We learn that a failure to repay the loan for the vehicle is one of the reasons for the mix-up. Following which we see actor Yogi Babu warning someone, “You judged me by my looks and deceived me. I will show you who I am.” The teaser ends with him mouthing, “Even if there is a threat to my life, I will not leave this place without my mini truck. I want my vehicle.”
Apart from Yogi Babu, Anamika Mahi, and Kaali Venkat, the casting team of Arjunan Per Paththu also has actors Aruldoss, Lenin Bharathi, Madhan Kumar, Sendrayan, ‘Myna’ Nandhini, Ranjan Kumar, ‘Hello’ Kanthasamy, Soundarya, and Subramaniya Siva playing various supporting roles. Music director D Imman has been hired to handle musical instruments for the drama.
Cinematographer Pratheep Kaliraja has worked on the cinematography department of the venture. Editor Kasi Vishwananthan has been roped in to trim the film. Art director P L Subenthar has erected sets for the project. Action master Sudesh has fashioned action blocks for the flick. Arjunan Per Paththu is backed by Kiruthika Thangapandi S and Thangapandi D under the production label Dhev Cinemas.
On the work front, actor Yogi Babu has several films lines up for release in Sardar 2 helmed by P S Mithran in which he has performed alongside actor Karthi, Karuppu directed by RJ Balaji in which he has costarred with actors Suriya & Trisha Krishnan, and Magudam filmed and headlined by actor Vishal. The Leg Piece actor is presently busy shooting for his next venture Purushan crafted by Sundar C in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Vishal & Tamannaah Bhatia, Jailer 2 helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar in which he will be partnering with actors Rajinikanth & S J Suryah, and An Ordinary Man scripted and headlined by Ravi Mohan.
