Saani Kaayidham Trailer: Selvaraghavan And Keerthy Suresh Compete Against Each Other In Performing!

It is known that actor Selvaraghavan is soon set to exhibit his acting prowess to the world. The man that has earned a name for himself with his unique film making style is expected to do the same as an actor as well. The production house of Saani Kaayidham has announced that the flick will skip the traditional theatrical release and take the OTT route. The project will be hitting the Amazon Prime Video OTT platform on 6th of May this year. 

Now, the production house has unveiled the trailer of the flick on social media. Taking to his official twitter account, the actor shared the trailer, and wrote, “Saani Kaayidham, May 6 in Amazon Prime Video. Trailer out now.” Here is the post made by the actor. 

The nearly three minutes trailer cuts, opens with an ultra-long shot, and cuts to a close up of a boy looking for someone. Then we see Selvaraghavan interrogated by the police, who asks for his name. After a short silence he replies Saanghaiya. Then comes the eventual question: where are you from, the response being Marakonam. Later, for the question how many murders have you committed, he begins to count, and answers 24. Then actress Keerthy Suresh is in interrogation, we see a gutsy woman who says she has committed 25 murders. Upon referring to Saanghaiya’s 24 count, she says, “In the frustration I am in right now, I feel like breaking your back bone and stab you in your back and kill you. So, including you it is 25.” Film maker Arun Matheswaran showcased his command over his craft in his debut venture Rocky. With the trailer of Saani Kaayidham, it looks like it is only fair to anticipate a wonderful cinematic experience. 

Saani Kaayidham is said to be a revenge drama that is based on a real-life event that took place in the 80’s in Tamil Nadu. Actors Selvaraghavan and Keerthy Suresh are said to play brother and sister in the film. Apart from actors Selvaraghavan and Keerthy Suresh, the movie has actress Lizzie Antony in a vital role. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for the film. Cinematographer Yamini Yagnamurthy has handled the cinematography department of the venture. Editor Nagooran has taken care of the editing department. The movie is produced by Lalit under the banner house Seven Screen Entertainment. 

On the work front, actor Selvaraghavan who is gearing up for the release of Saani Kaayidham is back to directing with Naane Varuven which has his brother and actor Dhanush in the lead role. Reportedly, he is also essaying a role in the film. On the other hand, actress Keerthy Suresh is currently busy shooting for her Telugu ventures Bhola Shankar under the directorial of film makers Meher Ramesh and Dasara, for Dasara directed by Srikanth Odela in which she will be romancing actor Nani, and for her Tamil flick titled Maamannan helmed by Maari Selvaraj. Apart from these dramas, the actress will have a release in Tollywood in the likes of Sarkaru Vaari Paata in which she will be seen alongside actor Mahesh Babu. Subsequently, she will next be seen in the Malayalam drama Vaashi in which she has shared the screen space with actor Tovino Thomas.
