Actor Suriya recently had a release via the romance and family entertainer Vishwanath & Sons crafted by Venky Atluri with actress Mamitha Baiju in the female lead role. The Soorarai Pottru actor is now gearing up for the release of his next drama provisionally christened Suriya 47. Director Jithu Madhavan, who previously directed the sensational black comedy action film Aavesham, has inked and helmed the venture. He has worked with writer Roman Baranov and actor Dravid Selvam to write the script of the flick.

Actress Nazriya Nazim of Raja Rani fame has collaborated with actor Suriya for the first time in her career. She is making her Kollywood comeback after more than twelve years. Filming for the project took place across various locations in Chennai, Kochi, and Russia. The movie is currently in the post production stage. Meanwhile, we now have news that the movie has been titled Scene. The makers themselves have announced the news by dropping a title teaser for the entertainer on social media.

Taking to their official X timeline, the production team of 2D Entertainment shared a special poster along with a link to the title teaser of Scene and captioned it, “Diwali-ku SCENE -ah Varom! In cinemas from 6th Nov 2026! Suriya, Jithu Madhavan, Jyotika, Nazriya Fahadh, Naslen, Sushin Shyam, Ashwini Kale, Mashar Hamsa, Vishnu Govind, Chethan D’souza, Dravid Selvam, Raj Priyan, Suresh Mathiyalagan, Sivam C Kabilan, Zhagaram Studios, Rajsekar Pandian, 2D Entertainment, Sony Music South India, Sathish.” Here is the post made by the production house.

The one-minute odd title teaser of Scene opens with a voiceover, “You guys keep parading his talent, mask and hide his despicable character.” The scene shifts to a rear view shot of actor Suriya, dressed as a cop, asking his fellow officer, “Brief me. Who killed whom?” He responds, “Sir, are you not here to investigate that?” Suriya sarcastically tells him, “Smart, aren’t you?” The voiceover continues, “He is sitting in a chair with an attitude, leisurely smoking. Psycho!”

Subsequently, an officer informs someone, “It is a safety measure, sir. Whenever Inbaraj sir arrives, all accused behave very erratically.” He then starts instructing the prisoners, “Hey, who is out there? Everyone, go back inside. No one should step outside. Inbaraj sir is arriving.” The shot cuts to a person acting as a human crutch, assisting actor Suriya as he walks in to the prison

Following which we have the voiceover of actor Suriya, “It is me. Take a good look at my face. To you, I am the only cop who has ever arrested you. But to me, among the thousands of scums I have locked up in prison, you are just another scum.” Then, we are given a glimpse of actor Suriya, who looks young and sharp. The title teaser ends with him humming his sensational number from Kaakha Kaakha, ‘O Maha Zeeya.’

The scene is touted as a comical cop film which has actor Suriya playing a quirky character. Besides Suriya and Nazriya Nazim, the ensemble cast of the flick also has Malayalam actor Lal, Naslen K Gafoor, Anandraj, John Vijay, Raj Priyan, Maksim Matveev, Vsevolod Korshunov, Olga Makarova, Polina Pribytkova, and Anton Dolin in various supporting roles. Actor Silambarasan is said to have made a guest appearance in the film.

Malayalam music director Sushin Shyam has been trusted with the musical division of the venture. Cinematographer Vineeth Augustian has overseen the visuals and camera division for the drama. Editor Ajmal Sabu has been roped in to bring coherence to the flick. Art director A Rajesh has fashioned background for the project. Stunt director Chethan D’Souza has designed action moves in the drama.

Scene is backed by Suriya himself under the production label Zhagaram Studios in partnership with his wife & actress Jyotika under the production company 2D Entertainment. Netflix OTT platform has secured the post theatrical streaming rights for the venture.

On the work side, actor Suriya is now absorbed in his future project tentatively christened Suriya 48 created by T J Gnanavel in which he will be seen alongside actors Kayadu Lohar & Yogi Babu, Suriya 49 scripted by H Vinoth, Suriya 50 helmed by Mari Selvaraj, Vaadivaasal crafted by Vetrimaaran in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Andrea Jeremiah & Ameer Sultan, and a guest role in Benz directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan in which he will be appearing alongside actors Raghava Lawrence, Ravi Mohan, Nivin Pauly, & Samyuktha Menon
