Actress Sonia Agarwal lastly had a release in the digital space via the Amazon Prime web anthology series Sshhh in which she had starred alongside actresses Ineya, and Aishwarya Dutta. The series drew mixed reviews from critics, and is yet to garner the attention of audiences. The 7G Rainbow Colony actress will soon have a release this year via her upcoming flick titled Gift.
Story teller Pa Pandian, who previously helmed Call Taxi, has written and directed the movie. Popular small screen actor Birla Bose has played a prominent role in the project. The entertainer has been in the making for a long time. But finally, it has reached the release stage. The makers have already begun to promote the movie across multiple mediums. As part of it, they released the teaser and trailer of the drama on social media.
They have now announced the release date of the drama. Gift is all set to hit theaters worldwide on 29th of August. Taking to her official X handle, actress Sonia Agarwal herself shared a special poster from the film and announced, “GIFT team wishes you a Happy Independence day. Gift is touted to be an investigative action crime thriller which has actress Sonia Agarwal playing the role of a cop. The trailer of the film which got released earlier this year showed actress Sonia Agarwal as an adept policer officer deployed to solve a complex sexual assault case. The trailer featured shots of the actress thrashing and shooting criminals.
Apart from Sonia Agarwal, and Birla Bose, the star cast of the entertainer also has actors Super Good Subramani, Laya Sasi, Rekha, and Crane Manohar depicting pivotal supporting characters. Music composer C V Amara has worked on the musical department of the flick. Cinematographer Rajadurai has taken care of the cinematography division of the movie. Editors David Ajay and Ganesh have been brought on board to oversee the editing department of the venture.
Art director Mani has designed the background for the flick. Stunt master Fire Karthik has fashioned action blocks for the project. The entertainer is produced by Pa Pandian himself along with Vadivel and Kamalakannan under the production banner PP Cinemas. Ajay has bagged the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights and will be releasing the entertainer under his production label Ajay Film Factory.
On the professional front, actress Sonia Agarwal is currently busy shooting for her future drama Will helmed by director S Sivaraman in which she will be seen alongside actor Vikranth, Rowdy Baby scripted by story teller J M Raja Saravanan in which she will be performing alongside actors Hansika Motwani, Meena, & Sathyaraj, and for the sequel of the superhit web series Queen crafted by directors Gautham Vasudev Menon and Prasath Murugesan in which she will be sharing screen space with actress Ramya Krishnan and Anjana Jayaprakash.
Apart from these films, the Moondram Manithan actress has her long-delayed movie Dandupalayam filmed by directors Tiger Venkaat and K T Nayak in which she has costarred with actress Vanitha Vijaykumar in the box waiting to see the light of day.
