Actor Selvaraghavan last graced the silver screens in a supporting role in Aaryan directed by Praveen K with actors Vishnu Vishal and Shraddha Srinath in lead roles. The Bakasuran actor is now gearing up for the release of his next action thriller flick christened Manithan Deivamagalam. Story teller Dennis Manjunath, who previously helmed projects like Thookudurai and Trip, has inked and crafted the movie.Â
Kannada actress Kushee Ravi will be opening her account in Tamil cinema with her female lead role in the drama. The shoot for the venture extensively took place in and around the vicinities of Salem. The production house has already announced that the drama will be released in theaters worldwide on 10th of April. They have now launched the teaser of the film on social media.Â
Taking to their official X account, the production team of Vyom Entertainments unveiled a small clip along with a link to the teaser of Manithan Deivamagalam and wrote, “A village. A fight for justice. A man who rises. Manithan Deivamagalam Teaser Streaming Now. HBD Selvaraghavan, Selvaraghavan, Dennis Manjunath, Vyom Entertainments, Saregama South, Vijaya Sathish, Kushee Ravi, Kausalya, Y Gee Mahendran, Mime Gopi, RS Saitz.” Here is the post made by the production unit.Â
A one minute odd teaser of Manithan Deivamagalam opens to a tutor asking her student, “Amudha! Instead of paying attention to the class, where are you staring?” She responds, “My uncle asked me a question, miss. I was just thinking about it.” The teacher asks her, “And what question was that?”Â
The shot cuts to actor Selvaraghavan narrating a puzzle to someone, “A seller with two sacks, one with 50 ice apples, and another with 50 more, was headed to the market through 50 villages. But there is a catch. At every village, he has to pay a tax of one ice apple per sack. By the time he crosses all 50 villages and reaches the market, how many ice apples will he have left in his hands?”Â
In a scene we see actress Kushee Ravi telling, “Brother, he might be uneducated. He might not have money or status. But . . . his heart is true.” Following which actor Mime Gopi slaps Selvaraghavan and warns him, “How dare you! Who do you think you are talking to? You dare talk rules to me?” The teaser ends with actor Selvaraghavan mouthing a punch, “The land we are born in to is our identity. How you hand that down to the next generation is really important.”
Manithan Deivamagalam is touted to be based on true events set in the rural backdrop. Apart from Selvaraghavan and Kushee Ravi, the casting crew of Manithan Deivamagalam also has actors Mime Gopi, R S Sathish, Lirthika, Kousalya, Sudha, Jothi Kannan, Salem Deepak, Hema, and YG Mahendra portraying various supporting roles. Music director AK Prriyan has been hired to handle musical gears for the flick.Â
Cinematographer Ravi Varma K has taken care of the cinematography department of the movie. Editor Deepak S has been bestowed with the responsibility to bring coherence to the film. Art director Bhakiyaraj Vellaiyan has designed the background for the movie. Stunt master Monster Mukesh has fashioned action moves for the venture.Â
Manithan Deivamagalam is bankrolled by R S Sathish and Vijaya Sathish under the banner house Vyom Entertainments. Sakthivelan B has bagged the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of the movie and will be releasing the film under his production label Sakthi Film Factory.Â
On the work front, actor Selvaraghavan is eagerly expecting the release of his next directorial venture, Mental Manadhil. Actors G V Prakash Kumar and Madhuri Jain have essayed the lead roles in the movie. The Naane Varuvean director is currently working on his next directorial project Aayirathil Oruvan 2 which will feature actor Dhanush as lead, and 7G Rainbow Colony 2 which will be headlined by actor Ravi Krishna.Â
On the other hand, actress Kushee Ravi will soon have a release in Kannada cinema via Daiji scripted by director Akash Srivatsa in which she has joined forces with actors Diganth & Ramesh Aravind. The actress is currently shooting for her next untitled Kannada venture crafted by Darshan Apoorva in which she will be partnering with actor Pruthvi Ambaar.
