Actor Prabhu Deva started out his career in Tamil cinema as a dance choreographer. Then went on to headline, director, and produce projects. The My dear Bootham star was last seen on screens in a supporting role alongside actor Vijay in Goat: The Greatest Of All Time. He is now gearing up for the release of his next venture christened Petta Rap in which he has played the lead role. Actress Vedhika of Muni fame has portrayed the female lead part. Actress Sunny Leone has played a cameo in the flick. Director S J Sinu has directed the drama. Writer P K Dinil has written the script of Petta Rap.
The makers have now unveiled the trailer of the flick along with its release date on social media. Petta Rap is poised to hit the theaters on 27th of September. Taking to his official X handle, actor Prabhu Deva dropped a poster from the movie along with a link to the trailer of Petta Rap and wrote, “Happy to share the complete entertainment trailer of Petta Rap. Petta Rap from Sep 27. Paatu Adi Aattam Repeat. A S J Sinu ride. A D Imman musical. TN release by Sapphire Studios.” Here is the post made by the actor.
Nearly two minute trailer of Petta Rap opens to the voiceover of actor Prabhu Deva, “There will be elephants and lions in the forest. But when a tiger comes the entire forest will go quiet.” Then we are introduced to actor Prabhu Deva’s character who says, “I have a dream. I have been at it for 20 years.” The scene then cuts to him trying hard to make it as a lead hero in cinema. We witness him being humiliated and betrayed. The trailer ends with him saying, “I will be a hero in the next three months.” Apart from actors Prabhu Deva, and Vedhika, casting of Petta Rap has actors Vivek Prasanna, Bagavathi Perumal, Ramesh Thilak, Mime Gopi, Riyaz Khan, and Kalabhavan Shajon depicting various supporting parts.
The technical side of the drama has music director D Imman scoring music for the entertainer. Cinematographer Jithu Damodar has been trusted with the cinematography division of the movie. Editor Nishad Yusuf has been brought onboard to edit the drama. Art director A R Mohan has designed the background for the film. Stunt masters Vicky and Dinesh Kasi have choreographed action blocks. The entertainer is produced by Jobi P Sam under the production label Blue Hill Films. Sapphire Studios has bagged the Tamil Nadu theoretical rights of the drama.
On the professional front, actor Prabhu Deva will soon have his next outing in Jolly O Gymkhana crafted by Shakthi Chidambaram with actress Madonna Sebastian as female lead. Currently he is engaged in many of his future projects Flashback directed by storyteller Don Sandy in which he will be seen alongside actress Regina Cassandra, Musasi crafted by director Sam Rodrigues in which he will be romancing actress Leona Lishoy, and Wolf scripted by Vinu Venkatesh in which he will be associating with actress Raai Laxmi. Besides these dramas, he has a Malayalam project titled Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer filmed by Rojin Thomas in which he has co starred with actor Jayasurya, and a Hindi film Maharagni: Queen Of Queens crafted by Charan Tej in which he will be collaborating with actress Kajol.
