‘Kalangaadhe’ Lyrical Video From Vishal’s Magudam Inspires Hope!
Actor Vishal last graced the silver screens in the action-comedy entertainer Madha Gaja Raja helmed by Sundar C with actresses Anjali and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as female leads. The Poojai actor is now eagerly anticipating the release of his upcoming Tamil Telugu bilingual action thriller Magudam. The Telugu title of the movie is Makutam. Actor Vishal will make his directorial debut with this entertainer. Writer Ravi Arasu has conceptualized the plot for the movie. Writers Anand Kumaresan and Pon Parthiban have written dialogue for the venture.
Actress Anjali of Angadi Theru fame has starred as the leading lady in the flick. Actress Dushara Vijayan of Sarpatta Parambarai fame has been cast as the second female lead in the entertainer. The drama has been shot in several places in Chennai, Ooty, and Kakinada. An official release date for the film is expected to be revealed shortly. Meanwhile, the makers had recently dropped a teaser and a couple of singles from the album on social media. They have now launched the third single.
Taking to his official X handle, actor Vishal himself shared links to both Tamil & Telugu versions of the single ‘Kalangaadhe’ from Magudam and wrote, “This one is truly special. It all started with the word Kalangaadhe / Kalatheylaa. Told G V Prakash Kumar would love to have a track that gives Hope in the music and lyrics to one and all, relating to situations of different walks of life, and we decided on a Hope song theme. Sung by the magician himself gives more depth to the meaning and purpose of the song for the film and in general. The purpose of this song is to give hope, strength, and positivity to one and all. Musician G V Prakash Kumar has handled musical gear for the film. He has also lent his voice for the number. Lyricist L Karunakaran has written lyrics for the track. The song is mixed and mastered by Jehovahson Alghar. Magudam is G V Prakash Kumar’s third project with actor Vishal after their successful albums in Naan Sigappu Manithan and Mark Antony. Two tracks ‘Rise Of Linga’ crooned by rapper V7H & G V Prakash Kumar lyrics penned by V7H, and ‘Nachindhi Machane’ sung by Mangli & Velmurugan lyrics inked by K Ekadesi, are already out from the album.
Earlier, talking about his roles in the movie, actor Vishal revealed, “Magudam will have many awe moments and surprises. I will be seen in three different roles. Each character will not just be different in their attires, but have unique mannerism and personality. One character is a medical rep who hails from a middle-class background. Another character is a gangster with a quirky nature. The third one is an aficionado of Ilaiyaraaja’s music.”
The teaser of the movie showed actor Vishal in distinct chronological settings and looks, with one of the characters saying he rules the ocean. The teaser had a heavy overhang effect from the actor’s previous work, Mark Antony. The casting team of the drama also includes actors Yogi Babu, Vamsi Krishna, Jaya Prakash, Padam Kumar, Thambi Ramaiah, Abu Salim, VJ Jhansi, Anandaraj, John Vijay, Arjai, Sabhumon, and Ajay.
Cinematographers Richard M Nathan & Abinandhan Ramanujam have operated camera for the flick. Editor N B Srikanth has been signed in to chop and patch the drama. Art director G Durairaj has designed sets for the film. Stunt director Dhilip Subbarayan has served as the stunt coordinator for the venture. The entertainer is backed by B Suresh, R B Jeevan Choudary, Jithan Ramesh, and Jiiva under the production label Super Good Films. Magudam marks the 99th milestone production from the prestigious group.
On the work side, actor Vishal is currently engrossed in his future project Purushan directed by Sundar C in which he will be featuring alongside actors Tamannaah Bhatia & Yogi Babu, and Thupparivaalan 2 created and headlined by himself with actor Prasanna as second lead.
On the other hand, actress Anjali is anticipating the release of her long-awaited movie Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai scripted by Ram in which she has co-starred with actors Nivin Pauly & Soori. The Iraivi actress is presently engaged in Eegai filmed by Ashok Velayutham in which she will be working with actors Santhosh Prathap & Abi Natchatra, and a Telugu project Anandha Bhairavi crafted by Balaji K in which she will be performing with actors Raai Laxmi & Thrigun. Actress Dushara Vijayan is currently shooting for her upcoming venture Almost Nallavan helmed and headlined by Raju Jeyamohan with actors Imman Annachi & Sathyaraj in lead roles.
