Actor Sasikumar lastly entertained audiences in the political satire flick My Lord helmed by Raju Murugan with actress Chaithra J Achar as female lead. The Kidaari actor is now gearing up for a release in the OTT space via the mystery crime thriller christened Vadhandhi: The Mystery of Mani. Director Andrew Louis, who crafted the first edition of the franchise, has written and helmed the second season as well. 

Actress Anagha Maruthora of Kadaisi Ulaga Por fame has essayed the female lead role in the entertainer. Filming for the venture happened in various parts of Madurai and Kanchipuram. Vadhandhi is slated to premiere on 7th of August in Amazon Prime Video in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. The production house had recently shared the first look poster of the series. They have now released a single from the album on social media. 

Taking to their official X account, the team of Wallwatcher Films dropped a small clip along with a link to the single ‘Daiva Coatingu’ from Vadhandhi and worded, “Daiva Coatingu Video Song Out Now! Music composer Simon K King has handled musical instruments for the venture. He has also sung the song along with actor Yashwanth. Lyricist Mani Romeo has penned lyrics for the number. The track is mixed and mastered by Balu Thankachan. Dance master Srikrish has designed dance moves for the song. 

The first look poster which was released earlier had actor Sasikumar standing and looking up at the objects that were used to commit a crime in ethereal light. Vadhandhi: The Mystery of Mani follows an SI, Mossa Raaza, who solves a false political case but soon realizes he may have wrongly imprisoned an innocent man, dragging him back into a web of dark secrets. 

Earlier, talking to a leading media house producer Gayatri said, “Just like the first season, Vadhandhi season 2 will have a gripping mystery, truth, and red herrings while conveying a story that will be both emotionally compelling and riveting. Director Andrew Louis has built a captivating story that honors the franchise’s roots while steering the narrative into a bold and exciting new direction. Actor Sasikumar and the entire cast have done a wonderful job bringing true depth to the story.”

In the first season of the series, a young girl’s disappearance spirals into an intricate investigation which leads to shocking revelation. The venture had actors S J Suryah, Laila, Nassar, and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy playing lead roles. Vadhandhi season 2 also comprises actors Aparna Das, Vivek Prasanna, Arjun Nandhakumar, Yashwanth, Revathy S, Gowtham Selvaraj, and Guha. 

Cinematographer Saravanan Ramasamy has been behind the lens for the series. The editing department of the series is handed over to editor A Richard Kevin. Art director Vinoth Rajkumar has erected sets for the project. Action director Dinesh Subbarayan has choreographed action blocks in the entertainer. The drama is produced by directors Pushkar and Gayatri under their home banner Wallwatcher Films. 

On the professional front, actor Sasikumar is expecting successive releases in Evidence filmed by Ranjith Manikandan, Pagaivanuku Arulvai scripted by Anees in which he has associated with actresses Vani Bhojan & Bindhu Madhavi, and Naa Naa crafted by N V Nirmal in which he has collaborated with actor Sarathkumar. The Ayothi actor is now busy with Paramaguru helmed by Jiyen Krishnakumar, couple of his untitled projects under the directorial of Dharani Rajendran in which he will be seen alongside actors Ashok Selvan & Sshivada, and a film directed by M Guru in which he will be performing with actors Bharath, Malavika, Megha Shetty, & Sathyaraj.
