‘Rise Of Linga’ First Single From Vishal’s Magudam Is A Peppy Number!

Actor Vishal had his last outing in the action-comedy flick Madha Gaja Raja filmed by Sundar C with actresses Anjali and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as female leads. The Chakra actor will soon grace the silver screens via the upcoming action thriller drama titled Magudam. The Telugu installment of the entertainer is christened Makutam. Actor Vishal is dipping his toe in the water as a director with the film. The story credit has been accredited to writer Ravi Arasu. Writers Pon Parthiban and Anand Kumaresan have assisted in writing the movie’s dialogues. 

Actress Anjali of Angadi Theru fame has been cast against actor Vishal in the project. Actress Dushara Vijayan of Sarpatta Parambarai fame has depicted the second female lead role in the venture. The shoot for the drama took place in multiple zones of Chennai, Ooty, and Kakinada. The production house is eyeing to release the flick in July. They had recently launched the teaser of the film on social media. They have now released the first single from the album. 

Taking to his official X handle, actor Vishal himself shared the first single ‘Rise Of Linga’ from Magudam and worded, “Third collaboration with National Award Winner darling GV Prakash Kumar and happy to introduce a new Rapper, Independent Musician, Vinod aka V7H, singing alongside GVP. And proudly presenting – Rise Of Linga – the First Single from Magudam. The first track from the powerful musical storm by G V Prakash Kumar is here Magudam Single. Musician and rapper V7H has written and sung the track along with G V Prakash Kumar. The song is mixed and mastered by Jehovahson Alghar. Dance master Azar has choreographed dance moves for the track. Music composer G V Prakash Kumar has scored music for the movie. This will be his third collaboration with actor Vishal after their superhit albums in Naan Sigappu Manithan and Mark Antony.

The teaser of the film showed actor Vishal in different getups and timeline with one of the characters claiming to be the ruler of the ocean. The teaser has a strong lingering shadow of the actor’s previous entertainer Mark Antony. The ensemble cast of the entertainer also comprises actors Jaya Prakash, Yogi Babu, Vamsi Krishna, Thambi Ramaiah, Ajay, Arjai, VJ Jhansi, Abu Salim, Sabhumon, Padam Kumar, John Vijay, and Anandaraj. Cinematographers Richard M Nathan & Abinandhan Ramanujam have shouldered cameras for the drama. 

Editor N B Srikanth has been contracted to chop and patch the entertainer. Art director G Durairaj has engineered the background for the venture. Stunt director Dhilip Subbarayan has designed action blocks for the project. The movie is funded by R B Jeevan Choudary, B Suresh, Jithan Ramesh, and Jiiva under the production label Super Good Films. Magudam marks the 99th milestone project from the esteemed group. 

On the work front, actor Vishal is currently occupied with his future project Purushan crafted by Sundar C in which he will be performing alongside actors Tamannaah Bhatia & Yogi Babu, and Thupparivaalan 2 created and headlined by himself with actor Prasanna as second lead. 

On the other hand, actress Anjali will soon grace the screens in Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai created by Ram in which she has worked with actor Nivin Pauly. The Lisaa actress is now busy with her upcoming drama Eegai directed by Ashok Velayutham in which she will be associating with actors Santhosh Prathap & Abi Natchatra, and a Telugu movie Anandha Bhairavi filmed by Balaji K in which she will be joining forces with actors Raai Laxmi & Thrigun. Actress Dushara Vijayan is awaiting the release of GDN scripted by Krishnakumar Ramakumar in which she will be seen alongside actors Madhavan & Priyamani.
