Arjun Das’s Con City Trailer: A Family Manipulates The System To Save Their Loved One!
Actor Arjun Das was last seen on screens in the musical adventure children film Kumki 2 helmed by Prabhu Solomon with actors Mathi and Shrita Rao in lead roles. The Rasavathi actor will soon grace the silver screens in the upcoming movie Con City. Debutant director Harish Durairaj, who served as an AD for Tourist Family, has penned and crafted the entertainer. Writers Ubasakan, Gokul Sugumaran, Harihara Tamilselvan, and Sudhir Muthu have helped shape the drama’s flow.
Actress Anna Ben of Kottukkaali fame has depicted the part of actor Arjun Das’s wife in the movie. The project was shot in several locations in Chennai, Mangalore, and Mumbai. The production house has already announced that the flick will be arriving in theaters on 26th of June. They have been prompting the film by sharing a teaser and singles from the flick on social media. They have now launched the trailer of the venture.
Taking to their official X account, the team of Power House Pictures dropped a small clip along with a link to the trailer of Con City and wrote, “The Con City Trailer Launch was filled with con-stant fun Trailer – Catch the fun filled entertainer by Harish Durairaj, on the big screens from June 26. A Sean Roldan musical. Starring Arjun Das, Anna Ben, Sakshi Vaidya, Yogi Babu, Vadivukkarasi, Akhilan. Power House Pictures in association with Maali And Manvi Movie Makers, Klout Studios, and Silver Tree Studios. The nearly three minutes long trailer of Con City begins with a character saying, “Love, drama, action, thriller . . .” Actor Yogi Babu chimes in, “Add this too.” He says, “Comedy? Fine, let us add comedy too! So, our genre is going to be a hit!”
Following which we have actress Vadivukkarasi telling Yogi Babu, “Do you not see why we landed with so much money? Do you remember that I wanted to launch Power House Pictures? This money is meant for that.” He warns her, “Mom, you will get into unnecessary trouble.” We then have a news bulletin, “Many scams were carried out in a single day in Mangalapuram.”
We learn that someone has kidnapped actor Arjun Das’s son and is demanding a ransom. Cornered, the family decides to game the system. In a scene we witness actor Arjun Das telling someone, “But you asked for an option, sir. You wanted enough money to last until you died. I have an idea to make it come true.”
The casting crew of Con City also comprises actors Yogi Babu, Sakshi Vaidya, Ramesh Thilak, VTV Ganesh, Arul Doss, Ponvannan, Shaji Chen, Nanda Gopal, Imman Annachi, Baradwaj Rangan, Radha Ravi, Vadivukkarasi, Thambi Ramaiah, Akhilan, Dheepa Ramanujam, Ragu Esaki, Sathanand, and Madhan Kumar Dhakshinamoorthy.
Music composer Sean Roldan has scored music for the project. Already three songs ‘Korean Family’ sung by Vangal Pulla Vicky, Sublahshini, & Leela, ‘Naan Dhaan King’ in the vocals of Kelithee, Lalitha Sudha, & Sean Roldan lyrics inked by Mohan Rajan & Kelithee, and ‘Fraud Payale’ crooned by Sublahshini, is out from the album. Lyricist Mohan Rajan has written lyrics for all the tracks.
Cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan has shouldered camera for the film. Editor Arul Moses has been hired to trim the flick. Art director Suren G has engineered sets for the entertainer. Stunt master Action Sandhosh has choreographed action blocks for the project.
Con City is backed by Harish Durairaj himself under his home production Power House Pictures, in partnership with Prabha Premkumar under the production label Maali And Manvi Movie Makers, along with Arun Prajeeth Manoharan, Sidhu Nair, and Vijay M P for the production banner Klout Studios. Netflix OTT platform has purchased the post theatrical rights of the venture.
On the professional side, actor Arjun Das is anticipating back-to-back releases in Love directed by Balaji Mohan in which he has featured alongside actress Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Once More created by Vignesh Srikanth in which he has romanced actress Aditi Shankar. The Bomb actor is now focused on his upcoming flick Superhero scripted by Vignesh Venugopal in which he will be working with actress Teju Ashwini, Kaithi 2 filmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will be starring with actor Karthi, and a Malayalam venture Torpedo helmed by Tharun Moorthy in which he will be joining forces with actor Fahadh Faasil.
On the other hand, actress Anna Ben is presently working on her next Tamil movie Coimbatore Mappillaii crafted by Kishore Rajkumar in which she will be seen alongside actor Praveen Balu, couple of her Malayalam projects Yakshi created by Karan Sunil in which she will be teaming up with actor Babil Khan, and Ennittu Avasanam filmed by Emcy Joseph in which she will be associating with actor Arjun Ashokan.
