Actor Jayaram was last seen on screens in the heist action thriller Kara directed by Vignesh Raja with actors Dhanush and Mamitha Baiju in lead roles. The GOAT – The Greatest Of All Time actor is now awaiting the release of his upcoming black comedy flick Parimala And Co. Director Pandiraaj, who impressed Tamil audience with Pasanga & Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, has inked and helmed the entertainer.
Veteran actress Urvasi has depicted the part of actor Jayaram’s wife in the film. The movie was shot in several regions of Chennai, Coimbatore, and Palakkad. Parimala And Co, is poised to hit screens on 5th of June. The makers had recently released a title teaser and a couple of singles from the movie on social media. They have now dropped the trailer of the flick.
Taking to his official X account, producer and actor Tamil Kumaran unveiled a special poster along with a link to the trailer of Parimala And Co and worded, “Packed with laughter and loaded with entertainment. The two minute trailer of Parimala And Co starts with actor Jayaram asking his family members, “We can live in peace only if he rests in peace. Shall we kill him?” His daughter says, “Agreed, pa.” Jayaram’s wife intrudes, “Will it not be a crime and become a murder case?” The shot cuts to a news bulletin, “Notorious rowdy Varghese was killed by unknown assailants.” Following which we see Mysskin as a cop enquiring his team, “Any other suspects?” They respond, “Parimala. Parimala’s family.”
One of them doubts, “Maybe she told her boyfriend to kill, sir?” Subsequently we witness Sanjana Krishnamoorthy’s boyfriend asking her, “You want me to kill someone?” She responds, “Shall we?” Then actor Jayaram asks her, “Touch your conscience and speak up. You killed him, right?” She replies, “I swear I did not kill him, pa. I promise to both of you. It was not me, pa.”
He then has a sit down with his family and tells them, “Police will come here. They will plague you with questions. Make it clear we have absolutely nothing to do with this murder. But the truth of the matter is one of us is the killer. We should be in sync and lie. Remember the film ‘’Papanasam?” Actress Urvasi quips, “I have forgotten most of it. Can we watch it together again?”
Then we have Mysskin analyzing the case, “Why did they kill Varghese? Gang revenge? Humiliation? Or Love?” He then interrogates Jayaram, “You know Varghese?” He says, “Who will not know him, sir? Someone killed him recently.” In a scene actor Yogi Babu asks Urvasi, “Joint effort of cooking. And killing too, huh?” She retorts, “Just assume we are the murderers. Will not a killer feel hungry? Won’t he eat?” He throws a rejoinder, “He can eat of course. But he must enjoy gruel in jail!”
The star cast of Parimala And Co also includes actors Mysskin, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Bagavathi Perumal, Sandy, Yogi Babu, Tamil Kumaran, and Santosh Sobhan. Musicians Pradeep PJ & Wayne Pavey (Foxn) have worked in tandem to score music for the venture. Already two songs ‘Watcha Udadha’ crooned by Pradeep PJ lyrics penned by LRC & Pradeep PJ, and ‘Tomato Thakkali’ in the lyrics of Varma sung by Anthony Daasan, Varma, and Pradeep PJ, are out from the album.
Cinematographer George C Williams ISC has cranked the camera for the drama. Editor Pradeep E Ragav has been roped in to trim the movie. Art director T Ramalingam has erected sets for the film. Action director Kalai Kingson has fashioned action blocks for the movie. Parimala And Co, is bankrolled by director Pandiraaj himself under his banner house Pasanga Productions, in partnership with Tamil Kumaran under the production company Tamil Kumaran Productions, along with Subaskaran for the production label Lyca Productions.
On the work front, actor Jayaram will soon have consecutive releases in G D N helmed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar in which he has costarred with actors Madhavan & Priyamani, Train directed by Mysskin in which he has joined forces with actors Vijay Sethupathi & Shruti Haasan, a Telugu venture Vrushakarma scripted by Karthik Varma Dandu in which he has collaborated with actors Naga Chaitanya Akkineni & Meenaakshi Chaudhary, and a Kannada film Bail helmed by Pawan Wadeyar in which he has associated with actors Shiva Rajkumar & Sai Kumar.
The Uttama Villain actor is now shooting for his next Tamil Project Marshal crafted by Tamizh in which he will be seen alongside actors Karthi & Kalyani Priyadarshan, and 7G Rainbow Colony 2 scripted by Selvaraghavan in which he will be starring with actors Ravi Krishna & Anaswara Rajan.
