Actor Jayaram recently had a release in Tamil in the heist action thriller movie Kara filmed by Vignesh Raja with actors Dhanush and Mamitha Baiju in lead roles. The Retro actor is now getting ready for the release of his upcoming black comedy film Parimala And Co. Director Pandiraaj, who is known for his brilliant works such as Pasanga & Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, has written and helmed the drama.
Veteran actress Urvasi will be seen in the role of actor Jayaram’s wife in the entertainer. Story teller Mysskin has played a pivotal character in the venture. The production house is making moves to bring the flick to theaters in the month of July. An official release date is expected to be announced soon. They have now shared the title teaser of the entertainer on social media.
Taking to their official X account, the team of Lyca Productions unveiled a couple of special posters along with a link to the title teaser of Parimala And Co and captioned it, “A new story begins . . . Director Pandiraaj’s next titled Parimala And Co. Watch the title teaser now! The three minutes odd title teaser of Parimala And Co opens to a strange woman randomly walking into actor Jayaram’s household and starts to review the house in an eerie manner. Then she goes to the entrance of the house and has a discussion with Jayaram’s wife (Urvasi). When she returns, Jayaram asks her, “Who is she?” She bluntly responds, “She is demanding Rs 2000.” He enquired, “What for?” She tells him, “Do not we have to clean up our house for Deepavali?”
A frustrated Jayaram says, “King’s ransom!” She asks him, “Then what do you expect? Want me to clean the whole place, top to bottom?” He expresses, “Why did you not bargain for Rs 500?” She responds, “She did not agree even for Rs 1000.” He refuses to pay, “I can’t pay through my nose.” She storms off saying, “Then get lost!” She then stops and tells him, “I have an idea, dear. Pay me that 1000 bucks. I will clean the house myself.”
He begins to bargain with her, “Neither for you, not for me. Rs 500 each split it 50-50. We can do it together happily.” His daughter nearby interrupts, “One minute. I need Rs 300 to split it 3 ways. I will pitch in too.” His next daughter interjects, “What about me? I am not part of this family? Share divided by 4.” Jayaram says, “Double okay. Happy with a capital H. All of you, start your work.”
One of his daughters tells him, “Do not give us that story. Give us the cash upfront. Then we will enter the arena.” Urvasi chimes in, “That is a point!” Jayaram gets passive aggressive, “Oh . . . huh? Don’t you trust your Appa?” She equally plays him, “How can you ask me this? I swear no dad.” He then settles the cash, and as family they get down to work.
The title teaser ends with actor Mysskin enquiring with Yogi Babu, “You think that family has the guts to kill?” A stunned Yogi Babu asks him, “Are they murderers? Are you serious, sir? How many?” He plays with him, “Four. Three. Two. Hey! Even if it is one murder, it is still a crime.”
Apart from Jayaram, Urvasi, and Mysskin, the star cast of Parimala And Co also has actors Yogi Babu, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Sandy, Santosh Sobhan, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, and Tamil Kumaran depicting various supporting roles. Music composer Foxn has been roped in to handle musical gears for the film. Cinematographer George C Williams ISC has worked on the cinematography department of the movie.
Editor Pradeep E Ragav has been bestowed with the responsibility to bring coherence to the drama. Art director T Ramalingam has fashioned sets for the flick. Action master Kalai Kingson has designed action blocks for the entertainer. Parimala And Co, is backed by Pandiraaj under his home banner Pasanga Productions, in association with Tamil Kumaran under the production label Tamil Kumaran Productions, along with Subaskaran for the banner house Lyca Productions.
On the professional side, actor Jayaram will soon have a release in Tamil via Train crafted by Mysskin in which he has collaborated with actors Vijay Sethupathi & Shruti Haasan, in Telugu in Vrushakarma scripted by Karthik Varma Dandu in which he will be seen alongside actors Naga Chaitanya Akkineni & Meenaakshi Chaudhary, and in Kannada via Bail helmed by Pawan Wadeyar in which he has costarred with actors Shiva Rajkumar & Sai Kumar.
The Seetha Payanam actor is presently focused on his future drama Marshal directed by Tamizh in which he will be joining forces with actors Karthi & Kalyani Priyadarshan, 7G Rainbow Colony 2 filmed by Selvaraghavan in which he will be teaming up with actors Ravi Krishna & Anaswara Rajan, and G D N crafted by Krishnakumar Ramakumar in which he will be partnering with actors Madhavan & Priyamani.
