Ghaati Trailer: Anushka Shetty Turns Godmother To Save Her Land And People!

Actress Anushka Shetty lastly entertained Tamil audience in the horror thriller Bhaagamathie helmed by G Ashok with Malayalam actors Unni Mukundan, Jayaram, and Asha Sarath in lead roles. The Baahubali actress is now getting ready for the release of her next action drama titled Ghaati. Director Krish Jagarlamudi, who shot to fame with the critically acclaimed entertainer Vaanam, has crafted the film. 

Writer S Gnana Giri has written dialogues for the project. Story credit has been accredited to Chintakindi Srinivas Rao. Actor Vikram Prabhu has portrayed a prominent role in the drama. The production unit has already announced that the movie will release in theaters worldwide on 5th of September in languages Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. They have now launched the trailer of the flick on social media. 

Taking to his official X account, Vikram Prabhu himself shared a special collage poster along with links to both Tamil and Telugu version trailers of Ghaati and wrote, “Victim. Criminal. Legend. In the shadows of the Ghaats, Ghaatis wear many faces. Ghaati Trailer hits, smashing 3.5M + views on YouTube. Telugu. Tamil. GHAATI GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON 5th SEPTEMBER 2025. The two minute trailer of Ghaati begins with the voiceover of actor John Vijay, “Ghaatis live in this forest. During the British colonization era they carved these mountains and laid roads through their blood. Now they have become donkeys that carry drug bags on their back. There is not a place in this mountain where their feet have not touched.” 

The trailer soon takes a serious turn with a character mouthing, “Mountains in the eastern ghats cast their shadows on one another. In that shadow grows sheelavathi. Black gold mine.” Subsequently we see someone warning, “It is enough for Ghaatis to know how to grow and carry the drugs. Business will not suit you people.” The shot cuts to actress Anushka Shetty dirt jumping in a motorbike carrying a drug bag on her back. 

In a scene we witness actor Vikram Prabhu delivering a punch, “Ghaatis are not abandoned people. When it comes to war we will kill and bury you.” Then we have actress Anushka Shetty rebelling, “Is ruining lives of people for survival called living? The forest belongs to Ghaatis. It belongs to our next generation. We will give their rights back to them. We will sacrifice whoever hinders this mission.” The trailer ends with the actress pulling off high octane action blocks.  

Apart from Anushka Shetty and Vikram Prabhu, the casting crew of Ghaati also has actors Jagapathi Babu, John Vijay, VTV Ganesh, Chaitanya Rao Madadi, Ravindra Vijay, Jisshu Sengupta, Raghav Rudra Mulpuru, Larissa Bonesi, Devika Priyadarshini, and Jwala Koti in various supporting roles. Music director Nagavelli Vidya Sagar has been roped in to score music for the entertainer. 

Cinematographer Manojh Reddy Katasani has overseen the cinematography division of the flick. Editor Chanakya Reddy Toorupu has been contracted to bring coherence to the movie. Art director Thota Tharrani has fashioned background for the drama. Action director Ram Krishan has choreographed action moves for the entertainer. The venture is bankrolled by Yeduguru Rajeev Reddy and Saibabu Jagarlamudi under their banner house First Frame Entertainments in affiliation with UV Creations. 

On the work front, actress Anushka Shetty will next be seen on screens in Malayalam in the fantasy thriller Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer helmed by Rojin Thomas in which she will be seen alongside actors Jayasurya, Prabhu Deva, and Vineeth. 

On the other hand, actor Vikram Prabhu is presently engaged in his next projects Rathamum Sadhaiyum crafted by story teller Harendhar Balachandar, and Pagaiye Kathiru scripted by director Manivel in which he will be sharing screen space with actresses Smruthi Venkat and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
