First Single ‘Kalyana Virundhu’ From Keerthy Suresh’s Dorothy Is A Thumping Folk Number!

Actress Keerthy Suresh last graced the silver screens in the crime comedy drama Revolver Rita filmed by J K Chandru with actors Radhika Sarathkumar, Sunil, and Redin Kingsley in the lead roles. The Paambhu Sattai actress is now eagerly awaiting the release of her upcoming movie christened Dorothy. Director Karthik Subbaraj, who rose to the spotlight with his craft in Jigarthanda and Iraivi, has penned and helmed the drama. 

He has collaborated with writer Saravanan Chandran to structure the screenplay of the film. Actors Sananth and Rishikanth have portrayed key supporting roles in the movie. The venture was shot across several areas in the surroundings of Madurai. Dorothy will be released in cinemas worldwide on 25th of September. The production team had recently released the first look poster and a teaser for the entertainer on social media. They have now launched the first single from the album. 

Taking to his official X profile, director Karthik Subbaraj himself unveiled a special poster along with a link to the first single ‘Kalyana Virundhu’ from Dorothy and wrote, “Raaja Sir music is always my Soul Therapy and working with him was a lifetime dream . . . Singers Yugendran Vasudevan, Anthony Daasan, and Priya Jerson have lent their voice for the track. Music director Ilaiyaraaja has inked lyrics and scored music for the number. The soundtrack is mixed and mastered by Suren G. Dance master Sherif M has choreographed dance moves for the song. 

The teaser of Dorothy featured Rishikanth smoking and beating up people; Sananth, cycling in retro style; a gorgeous Keerthy Suresh appearing in a white saree; and ended with the trio repeating the word ‘Dorothy.’ 

Cinematographer S Thirunavukkarasu has shouldered camera for the film. Editor Ganesh Siva has been bestowed with the responsibility to chop and patch the entertainer. Art director Jyothish Keshav has built sets for the flick. Stunt director Dinesh Subbarayan has fashioned action moves in the movie. 

The project is produced by Karthik Subbaraj himself under the production label Dhammam Films, in affiliation with Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain under the production company Sikhya Entertainment, along with Jyoti Deshpande for the banner house Jio Studios. 

On the professional front, actress Keerthy Suresh is anticipating a release in Tamil via Sathyavan Savithiri filmed by Praveen S in which she has associated with actors Mysskin & Shilpa Manjunath, in Telugu via Rowdy Janardhana crafted by Ravi Kiran Kola in which she has teamed up with actors Vijay Deverakonda & Rashmika Mandanna, and in Hindi via Raftaar helmed by Aditya Nimbalkar in which she has shared screen space with actor Rajkumar Rao.
