Actor Arjun Das lastly entertained audiences in the musical adventure children movie Kumki 2 filmed by Prabhu Solomon with actors Mathi and Shrita Rao in the lead roles. The Aneethi actor will soon have his next release via the romantic film christened Once More. Newbie story teller Vignesh Srikanth, who previously worked as a dialogue writer for Por, has written and crafted the venture.
Actress Aditi Shankar of Viruman fame has portrayed the female lead role in the entertainer. Once More is predominantly shot in and around the neighborhoods of Chennai. The makers have been sharing regular updates, and hyping the film by releasing songs from the album on social media. They have now announced that the drama will be released this summer.
Taking to their official X account, the production team of Million Dollar Studios dropped a special poster from the entertainer and wrote, “Some journeys take time . . . but the destination is always special. The wait is over. Once More arrives in theatres – THIS SUMMER. Written & directed by Vignesh Srikanth. A Hesham Abdul Wahab musical. Earlier talking about the film director Vignesh Srikanth stated, “My debut venture will be a wholesome breezy romance film. It revolves around Arjun Das and Aditi Shankar who fall in love with each other. The interesting aspect is that they both have a contrasting personality. Not just the two of them, even their family members and friends. How they navigate their differences is what forms the crux of the story.”
He further added, “It will be in the lines of Mani Ratnam sir’s O Kadhal Kanmani. I have tried to capture the difficulties and complexities in today’s relationships. Also, the magical moments that only transpire when two polar-opposite personalities fall in love.” The title ‘Once More’ seems to be inspired by actor Vijay’s 1997 classic romantic flick of the same name. Star cast of Once More also comprises actors Sarath Kumar, Kalki Koechlin, Khushbu Sundar, Prabhu, Shiv Panditt, and George Kora.
Music composer Hesham Abdul Wahab has handled musical instruments for the film. Director Vignesh Srikanth himself has penned lyrics of the numbers. Five songs ‘Vaa Kannamma’ sung by Uthara Unnikrishnan, ‘Edhira Pudhira’ in the vocals of D Sathyaprakash, ‘Meenduma’ crooned by Aavani Malhar, ‘Idhayam’ in the voice of Vineeth Sreenivasan, and Miss Oruthi sung by Naresh Iyer is already out from the album.
Cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan has cranked cameras for the entertainer. Editor Nash has overseen the editing division of the flick. Art director Raj Kamal has fashioned sets for the movie. Once More is backed by Yuvaraj Ganesan under the production label Million Dollar Studios along with V R Vamsi for the production banner FYNTEMAX.
On the professional front, actor Arjun Das is staring at consecutive releases in Love helmed by Balaji Mohan in which he has co-starred with actress Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Con City directed by Harish Durairaj in which he has teamed up with actress Anna Ben. The Bomb actor is currently occupied on his future film Rolex filmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Suriya & Vijay Sethupathi, Kaithi 2 scripted by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will be collaborating with actor Karthi, and a Malayalam movie Torpedo helmed by Tharun Moorthy in which he will be partnering with actor Fahadh Faasil.
On the other hand, actress Aditi Shankar is presently working on a couple of her untitled movies under the directorial of Ram Kumar in which she will be seen alongside actor Vishnu Vishal, and another one helmed by M Rajesh in which she will be romancing actor Atharvaa Murali.
