Actor Vetri had his last outing in the action thriller film Muthal Pakkam crafted by Anish Ashraf with actress Shilpa Manjunath as female lead. The Vanam actor is now gearing up for the release of his next action crime thriller drama titled Black Gold. Debutant story teller Dheeran Arunkumar has written and directed the movie.
Actress Priyalaya of Inga Naan Thaan Kingu fame has essayed the female lead role in the venture. The shoot for the venture predominantly took place in and around the neighborhoods of Chennai. An official announcement regarding the release date is expected to be made soon. Meanwhile, the makers have begun to promote the entertainer across several platforms. As part of it, they have released the trailer of the movie on social media.
Taking to their official X profile, the team of Lahari Music shared a special poster along with a link to the trailer of Black Gold and captioned it, “The countdown ends here. The journey begins now. Two minutes of the trailer of Black Gold opens to a minivan speeding in a deserted area, and cuts to actor Vetri seriously ruminating on a shore. Following which, we have actor Abirami Venkatachalam as a cop, asking someone, “What happened? Tell me clearly.” The character says, “We were on our regular route ma’am. I never imagined, even in my wildest dreams, that my greed would lead me in to such a situation.”
In a shot we see actor Nizhalgal Ravi asking an individual, “Do you know what went missing?” He responds, “The people that we imagine, did not do this.” Then a character tells Vetri, “The police and Thangadurai’s men are searching for the missing goods.” Following which, we have jump cuts to police custodial torture and a violent scuffle between two men.
Subsequently, a police officer informs someone via a call, “A lot of issues, and on top of it there is a murder case now.” The trailer ends with actor Vetri mouthing Newton’s third law, “In this world, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.”
Apart from Vetri and Priyalaya, the star cast of Black Gold also has veteran actor Livingston, Nizhalgal Ravi, Aroul D Shankar, Abirami Venkatachalam, Sabita Roi, Swaminathan, A Venkatesh, Vinodhini Vaidynathan, Ramar, and Ajith Vignesh depicting various supporting characters. Music director Gavaskar Avinash has composed music for the flick. Cinematographer Santhosh Kumar Veerasamy has overseen the cinematography division of the film.
Editor Dinesh Kumar has been roped in to chop and patch the drama. Art director Soolai Anbu has engineered sets for the film. Stunt director Metro Mahesh has fashioned action moves for the entertainer. Black Gold is backed by M Moorthy along with M Maanashwani under the banner house MM Studios.
On the professional side, actor Vetri will soon have consecutive releases in Lakshmikanthan Kolai Vazhakku helmed by Dayal Padmanabhan in which he has collaborated with actress Brigida Saga, 4 Windows filmed by Narendran Murthy in which he has costarred with actor Sathyaraj, and Iravu directed by Jagadeesan Subu in which he has teamed up with actress Shivani Narayanan. The Bumper actor is now working on his future project Theenkirai scripted by Prakash Raghavadass in which he will be joining forces with actor Srikanth, Eerappadham Kaattru Mazhai created by R Saleem in which he will be featuring with actress Deepthie Orintelu, and Lockdown Nights crafted by Stanley in which will be seen alongside actress Hamsni Perumal.
On the other hand, actress Priyalaya is eagerly anticipating a release in Hit Wicket directed by Kabaleeswaran Gnanasekara in which she has associated with actor Ananth Nag. The Good Night actress is currently busy shooting for her next movie Hyena created by Prashanth Chander in which she will be sharing screen space with actors Prajin Padmanabhan & Ameya Mathew.
