Actor Arjun Das last graced the silver screens in the musical adventure children drama Kumki 2 crafted by Prabhu Solomon with actors Mathi and Shrita Rao in lead roles. The Rasavathi actor is gearing up for the release of his upcoming project christened Con City. Newbie director Harish Durairaj, who served as an assistant director in Tourist Family, has penned and directed the entertainer. Creators Harihara Tamilselvan, Ubasakan, Sudhir Muthu, and Gokul Sugumaran have helped shape the flow of the film.
Actress Anna Ben of Kottukkaali fame has been paired with actor Arjun Das in the movie. Actors Yogi Babu, Vadivukkarasi, and Akilan have essayed pivotal supporting roles. Con City is predominantly shot in Mangalore, Chennai, and Mumbai. An official release date for the flick is expected to be announced soon. Meanwhile, the makers have now launched the title teaser of the movie on social media.
Taking to his official X profile, actor Arjun Das himself dropped a special poster along with a link to the title teaser of Con City and captioned it, “This family doesn’t just entertain. They take you for a ride. Presenting the TITLE TEASER of Con City. Vithurs, Power House Pictures, Maali And Manvi Movie Makers, Klout Studios, Anna Ben, Yogi Babu, Harish Durairaj, Sean Roldan, Arun Prajeeth M, Vijay M P, Yuvraaj, T Series, T Series South.” Here is the post made by the actor.
The nearly four minute title teaser of Con City starts with a man warning actor Arjun Das via a phone call, “Hey! Why are you not answering my calls? Do I look like a fool to you? Your house is locked. Where the hell are you hiding? Do you think I cannot find you? If you fucking dare to cheat me out of my money. No matter where you are hiding, I will come there and cut your family into pieces right before your eyes.” He curtly says, “I will not return your money. Do what you can. I challenge you! Hang up, damn it!”
He gets frustrated and starts pushing everything around him in rage. In a surreal way a thunderbolt hits an electronic device he was about to throw, and the device starts printing money. His mobile rings again. He picks it up and says, “Hey, where are you? I am going there.” His mother-in-law gets hold of the machine, and begins to print money. Yogi Babu notices this and asks her, “What is this? It is dispensing continuously, like water from a tap.” To which she quips, “Lately, have you seen any tap dispensing water?”
Everyone in the family stumbles up on the device and hides it in a place of their choice. Suddenly the machine goes missing. Everyone starts to search for the machine at the same time. The shot cuts to a boy playing with the machine imagining it as a multi barrel machine gun. The title teaser ends with the whole family rushing to him to secure the machine.
Music director Sean Roldan has been hired to work on the musical division of the movie. Cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan has shouldered cameras for the venture. Editor Arul Moses A has been brought on board to chop and patch the drama. Art director Suren G has erected sets for the project. Stunt master Action Sandhosh has choreographed action moves for the venture.
Con City is produced by Harish Durairaj under the production banner Power House Pictures, in affiliation with Prabha Premkumar under the production label Maali And Manvi Movie Makers, along with Sidhu Nair, Arun Prajeeth Manoharan, and Vijay M P for the production house Klout Studios.
On the professional side, actor Arjun Das is awaiting the release of Love scripted by Balaji Mohan in which he has romanced actress Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Once More filmed by Vignesh Srikanth in which he has partnered with actress Aditi Shankar. The Good Bad Ugly star is presently engaged in his next venture Kaithi 2 directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will reprise his role alongside actor Karthi, Rolex crafted by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will be teaming up with actors Suriya & Vijay Sethupathi, and a Malayalam film Torpedo filmed by Tharun Moorthy in which he will be seen alongside actor Fahadh Faasil.
On the other hand, actress Anna Ben is currently occupied in her next Tamil flick Coimbatore Mappillaii helmed by Kishore Rajkumar in which she will be sharing screen space with actor Praveen Balu, a couple of her Malayalam films Ennittu Avasanam directed by Emcy Joseph in which she will be performing alongside actor Arjun Ashokan, and Yakshi filmed by Karan Sunil in which she will be joining forces with actor Babil Khan.
