Actor Sivakarthikeyan has been in a rough patch for some time. For reasons best known to the actor he has decelerated the rate at which he kept churning out projects. The Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam actor was last seen on screens in the romantic comedy drama Prince which hit the screens under the direction of story teller K V Anudeep with Ukrainian actress Maria Ryaboshapka in the female lead role. The entertainer got released amid high expectations among aficionados of the star. Unfortunately, it opened up to mixed reviews and did not live up to the expectations. But despite that managed to do a decent business. The actor who is basking in the success of Prince, is now gearing up for the release of his next Tamil Telugu bilingual project christened Maaveeran. The Telugu version of the drama has been titled Mahaveerudu. Director Madonne Ashwin of Mandela fame has penned the script, and directed the movie. The entertainer went on floors last year with a small pooja ceremony. Director Shankar, father of actress Aditi Shankar graced the event.
Now, the production house has announced on social media that the first single track ‘Scene ah scene ah’ of Maaveeran will be out soon. Taking to their official twitter handle the production house shared a poster from the film, and wrote, “Get ready folks! Maaveeran Mahaveerudu.” Here is the post made by the production unit.

Actor Sivakarthikeyan recently wrapped up shoot for a song which involved nearly 500 group dancers. The song was shot using a mocobot camera. The poster shared by the production unit was a snap from the song. Musician Anirudh Ravichander has crooned the number. Dance master Shobi Paulraj has choreographed dance moves for the song. Actor Sivakarthikeyan grew long hair to play his part in the movie. The first look poster of the film garnered attention of the audience, and became a talking point as Sivakarthikeyan’s look in the poster sort of resembled superstar Rajinikanth’s celebrated character Suriya from Thalapathy. The first look poster went viral on social media, and engineered high expectations on the entertainer. The shoot for the project is briskly underway, and is anticipated to be wrapped by the month of April. It is said that the production house is in plans to bring the film to the theaters as a festive release on Diwali.
Apart from actor Sivakarthikeyan, Maaveeran has actress Aditi Shankar playing the female lead role. Maaveeran will be a sophomore project for actress Aditi Shankar who made her debut in actor Karthi’s Viruman. Director Mysskin will be seen as the antagonist. The casting division of the movie has veteran actress Saritha, Goundamani, Yogi babu, Sunil Reddy, and Koushik Mahata in various other supporting roles. Music director Bharath Sankar will be handling musical instruments for the flick. Cinematographer Vidhu Ayyanna has been behind the lens for the film. Editor Philomin Raj has been brought on board to trim the flick. Art director Kumar Gangappan has designed the background for the film. Stunt master Phoenix Prabhu has choreographed action moves of the drama. The venture was produced by Arun Viswa under the production house Shanthi Talkies.
On the work front, actor Sivakarthikeyan who was last seen on screens in the romedy drama Prince is currently busy shooting for his next venture tentatively titled as SK 24 under the direction of story teller Rajkumar Periyasamy in which he will be sharing screen space with actress Sai Pallavi. Apart from this venture, the actor has the science fiction project christened Ayalaan directed by film maker R. Ravikumar in which he has shared the screen space with actress Rakul Preet Singh in the post production getting tuned for release.
