Actor Vishal Krishna had a release earlier this year in the action-comedy film Madha Gaja Raja helmed by director Sundar C with actresses Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Anjali in the female lead roles. The movie was pinned with mixed reviews from critics but had a great run in the box office. The Veeramae Vaagai Soodum actor is currently busy shooting for his upcoming flick tentatively christened Vishal 35.
Story teller Ravi Arasu, who garnered attention of audience via Eetti and Ayngaran, has penciled the story and is directing the entertainer. Actress Dushara Vijayan of Sarpatta Parambarai fame has been paired with the actor for the first time in her career. The project recently went on floors with a small pooja ceremony. The casting team is zeroing in on the rest of the artists that would be part of the film. We now have news that actress Anjali has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the drama.
The production unit themselves has announced the news on social media. Actor Vishal’s manager Hari Krishnan has shared the news. Taking to his official X profile, Hari Krishnan dropped the announcement poster with actress Anjali in it and wrote, “The ever gorgeous and charming Anjali joins the team of Puratchi Thalapathy Vishal’s Vishal 35 after the blockbuster combo of Madha Gaja Raja. Charming Anjali
Actor Vishal retweeted the post with a short welcome message to the actress, “Welcome onboard darling Anjali. Looking forward to working with you once again. God bless. Vishal 35, SGF99, Madha Gaja Raja.” Here is the actor’s retweet.
Speaking to a leading daily story teller Ravi Arasu said, “The entertainer will be a gangster drama. My previous movies were intense and high on action. You can expect something in similar lines in this flick too. But we are doing it on a bigger scale.”
Talking further he revealed, “We have planned to wrap the film in three schedules of shoot. If everything goes as planned, we should be able to complete the shoot by the end of this year.” The first scheduled shoot for the project is currently underway in Ooty.
Music director G V Prakash Kumar has been contracted to compose music for the film. This venture will mark the second collaboration of him with actor Vishal after their chartbuster album in Mark Antony. Cinematographer Richard M Nathan has teamed up with Vishal for the fifth time after their successful outing in Samar, Naan Sigappu Manithan, Kaththi Sandai, and Madha Gaja Raja.
Editor N B Srikanth has been bestowed with the responsibility to chop and patch the flick. Art director Sreeraman will be engineering sets for the venture. Action director Dhilip Subbarayan will be designing action moves for the entertainer. Vishal 35 is bankrolled by R B Choudary under his banner house Super Good Films. This entertainer happens to be the 99th production of the production company.
On the work front, actor Vishal is also simultaneously shooting for the sequel of his superhit spy thriller Thupparivaalan under his own direction in which he will be costarring with actors Rahman & Prasanna, a couple of untitled ventures under Gautham Vasudev Menon and Ajay Gnanamuthu. Apart from these flicks, he has his long-delayed drama Karuppu Raja Vella Raja scripted by director Prabhu Deva in which he has performed alongside actors Karthi and Sayyeshaa Saigal in the box waiting to see the light of day.
On the other hand, actress Anjali is keenly expecting successive releases in Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai filmed by Ram in which she has associated with actors Nivin Pauly & Soori, a couple of her women centric movies Eegai helmed by story teller Ashok Velayutham in which she will be seen alongside actor Santhosh Prathap, and Poochandi crafted by director Krishnan Jayaraj in which she has partnered with actor Yogi Babu.
