Sivakarthikeyan’s Maaveeran Title Teaser Is Out!

Actor Sivakarthikeyan is quite busy in k town both as an artist and producer. The Namma Veettu Pillai actor was last seen on screens in the romedy drama Prince which hit the theaters under the direction of K V Anudeep with Ukrainian actress Maria Ryaboshapka in the female lead part. The venture which got released amid high anticipation did not live up to the expectations of the audience. However, the actor’s star power was adequate to propel the project to a decent commercial success. The actor has now moved on, and is gearing up for the release of his upcoming Tamil Telugu bilingual project christened Maaveeran. The Telugu version of the drama is titled Mahaveerudu. Storyteller Madonne Ashwin of Mandela fame has penned, and directed the drama. The entertainer which went on floors last year with a small pooja ceremony was wrapped last month. The production unit has now released the title teaser of the movie on social media. Over two minutes the odd video cut opens to a man being ganged up and thrashed by a group of henchmen in a dark desolate place. After beating him, they leave him on the floor, and begin to walk away from him. As the camera rolls and zooms in on the man, it is Sivakarthikeyan. A rousing background score starts to play. Suddenly, the actor is lifted in a marionette fashion with the assistance of ropes. The henchmen again return to attack him. But this time he dodges them and hits back in style. 

Earlier this year, the production unit had unveiled the first single track ‘Scene ah scene ah’ from the entertainer. Actor Sivakarthikeyan shot for the song sequence with nearly 500 group dancers. The song was shot using a mocobot camera. Musician Anirudh Ravichander has lent his voice for the track. The song had a massive response from fans of the star. Actor Sivakarthikeyan grew long hair to play his part in the flick. His look in the film has got tongues wagging as it resembles superstar Rajinikanth’s much celebrated character Suriya from Thalapathy. This has amplified expectations on the venture not only among his aficionados but even amidst the general audience. The production unit had earlier announced that the movie will be released on 11th of August this year. But since Jailer is getting released a day before that there are talks that Maaveeran might have a July release. But there is no official confirmation on the matter yet. 

Apart from actor Sivakarthikeyan, Maaveeran has actress Aditi Shankar essaying the female lead role. Maaveeran will be the sophomore project of actress Aditi Shankar who made her debut in Kollywood in actor Karthi’s Viruman. Film maker Mysskin is said to have depicted the antagonist role. The casting division of the entertainer has veteran actress Saritha, Goundamani, Yogi babu, Monisha Blessy, Sunil Reddy, and Koushik Mahata depicting various other supporting roles. Music director Bharath Sankar will be scoring music for the venture. Cinematographer Vidhu Ayyanna has been behind the lens for the entertainer. Editor Philomin Raj has been brought on board to trim the flick. Art director Kumar Gangappan has designed the background for the drama. Stunt master Phoenix Prabhu has choreographed action blocks for the project. The movie is produced by Arun Viswa under the banner house Shanthi Talkies. 

On the work front, actor Sivakarthikeyan who had his last outing in the romantic comedy movie Prince is currently busy shooting for his upcoming flick tentatively titled as SK 21 under the direction of director Rajkumar Periyasamy in which he will be seen alongside actress Sai Pallavi. Apart from this film, the actor has the science fiction project Ayalaan filmed by director R. Ravikumar in which he has co starred with actress Rakul Preet Singh in the post production stage getting shaped for release. He is also bankrolling a venture christened Kottukkaali which is crafted by filmmaker P. S. Vinoth Raj with actors Soori and Anna Ben in the lead roles.
