Nearly three minutes long trailer cut opens to actor Manikandan standing at the top of a staircase. He slides a cable clamp down the handrail and smiles as it slides down. He then skates down the handrail. We hear a ripping sound, and he checks whether his pants tore, “Oh, God, no! Thank goodness it did not tear. Only a few stitches worn off.” We have the heroine’s introduction. Following which he gets told by his colleague, “Our office colleagues gave you an apt nickname.” We learn the name is Motor Mohan. The shot cuts to Manikandan teasing his brother-in-law, “Who are you man? You install filters and turn those clients into your families. This is how you impress my sister too.” There is a shot where he talks about his family to his love interest, “In my family, there’s mom, sister, and younger sister. Please come over. It’ll be fun! That is what I meant.” The trailer has enjoyed a great reception among the audience.

Earlier speaking to a leading media house about the drama, director Vinayak Chandrasekaran said, “Good Night is set in the backdrop of Chennai. Snoring is the core theme of the drama. What are the consequences of snoring, the type of issues snoring leads to in a relationship, and how a snorer overcomes snoring. We have tried to present the element in a humorous way. But that is not just it, the film will talk about modern life, and how we as humans struggle to cope with it. A wide range of human emotions will be explored. We have tried our best to avoid comedy that offends the feelings of others. I am confident the audience will have an amazing experience watching it.” Debutant director Vinayak Chandrasekaran is an erstwhile associate of film maker Sam Anton. So, there is high anticipation for his debut venture.
