Actor Sivakarthikeyan is busy in the industry both as an actor and producer. The Namma Veettu Pillai actor had his last outing in the likes of the romedy entertainer Prince which hit the screens under the direction of K V Anudeep with Ukrainian actress Maria Ryaboshapka as the female lead. The flick made its way to the theaters amid high expectations among fans of the actor. Unfortunately, it opened to mixed reviews, and did not live up to the expectations of the audience. Despite that it had a decent commercial success. The actor has now put that behind him, and has moved on to his next Tamil Telugu bilingual drama christened Maaveeran. The Telugu version of the project is titled Mahaveerudu. Director Madonne Ashwin of Mandela fame has penned, and helmed the movie. The entertainer went on floors last year with a small pooja ceremony graced by director Shankar.

The final schedule of shoot for Maaveeran was underway at a brisk pace in Pondicherry. We had also reported the news. Now, we have news that actor Sivakarthikeyan has completed shooting for his portion in Maaveeran. But still the unit has few other portions to shoot. It is said that the shoot will be wrapped in a week or so. There is news that the production house is in work to bring the venture to the theaters as a festive release on Diwali this year. So, they have planned the post production phase accordingly.
Earlier, the production team had unveiled the first single track ‘Scene ah scene ah’ from the project. Actor Sivakarthikeyan shot for the song sequence with nearly 500 group dancers. The song was shot using a mocobot camera. Musician Anirudh Ravichander has lent his voice for the track. The song had a massive response from fans of the star. Actor Sivakarthikeyan grew long hair to play his part in the flick. The first look poster of the film garnered attention of the audience, and became a talking point as Sivakarthikeyan’s look in the poster sort of resembled superstar Rajinikanth’s much celebrated character Suriya from Thalapathy. The first look poster went viral on social media, and has set high expectations on the venture.
Apart from actor Sivakarthikeyan, Maaveeran has actress Aditi Shankar portraying the female lead part. Maaveeran will be the sophomore project of actress Aditi Shankar who made her debut in actor Karthi’s Viruman. Director Mysskin is said to have depicted the antagonist role. The casting department of the drama has veteran actress Saritha, Goundamani, Yogi babu, Monisha Blessy, Sunil Reddy, and Koushik Mahata in various other supporting roles. Music director Bharath Sankar will be handling musical instruments for the flick. Cinematographer Vidhu Ayyanna has cranked the camera for the movie. Editor Philomin Raj has been bestowed with the responsibility to edit the project. Art director Kumar Gangappan has erected sets for the entertainer. Stunt master Phoenix Prabhu has choreographed action moves for the drama. The entertainer is bankrolled by Arun Viswa for the production label Shanthi Talkies.
On the work front, actor Sivakarthikeyan who was last seen on screens in the romantic comedy film Prince is currently busy shooting for his next venture tentatively titled as SK 24 under the direction of film maker Rajkumar Periyasamy in which he will be collaborating with actress Sai Pallavi. Apart from this project, the actor has the science fiction flick Ayalaan crafted by story teller R. Ravikumar in which he will be seen alongside actress Rakul Preet Singh in the post production stage shaping up for release. He is also funding a movie christened Kottukkaali which is set to be directed by storyteller P. S. Vinoth Raj with actors Soori and Anna Ben in the lead roles.
