Actor Samuthirakani recently had a release in the family drama Carmeni Selvam directed by Ram Chakri with actors Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli and Gautham Vasudev Menon in the lead roles. Y Gee Mahendran lastly entertained audiences in a supporting role in Manithan Deivamagalam helmed by Dennis Manjunath with actors Selvaraghavan and Kushee Ravi as leads. Both the stars will soon have a release via the upcoming film titled Charukesi. Veteran director Suresh Krishna, who gave Tamil cinema the classic Rajinikanth starrer Baashha, has directed the flick.
Writer Venkat has written the story of the movie. Lyricist Pa Vijay has offered his assistance in writing the film’s dialogues. Actress Ramya Pandian of Aan Devathai fame has played a prominent role in the entertainer. The production house has already publicized that the drama will hit the screens on 8th of May. Meanwhile, they have now released the teaser of the flick on social media.
Taking to his official X profile, music director Anirudh Ravichander dropped the teaser of Charukesi and wrote, “Every note carries a story . . . every frame holds a truth. A one minute odd teaser of Charukesi opens to actor Sathyaraj asking Y Gee Mahendran, “You are the legendary musician Charukesi, right? You have a big job sir. You are going to compose a masterpiece. Pain is the fetus for creation. The creator himself has that pain.” The shot cuts to actor Samuthirakani saying, “The name of the pain is Sanjay. His son. He says that his music was born at the pinnacle of his pain.”
A voiceover interjects, “These legends shine like a golden sun.” Samuthirakani responds, “Only when we get close to them, we will come to know many truths.” Then we have actor Sathyaraj telling Y Gee Mahendran, “If the crowd dissipates, it means the game is about to end.” He asks him, “What sir, you are talking like a god?”
Apart from Y Gee Mahendran, Samuthirakani, and Ramya Pandian, the casting team of the movie also has actors Suhasini Maniratnam, Rajayyappa, Preetika, Sathyaraj, Thalaivasal Vijay, Madhuvanti, Dheena, and Rithvik in various supporting roles. Veteran music composer Thenisai Thendral Deva has been trusted with the musical division of the drama.
Cinematographer Sanjay B L has been behind the lens for the entertainer. Editor Richard has been bestowed with the responsibility to chop and patch the flick. Art director Vasudhevan has erected sets for the movie. Action director Sudesh has fashioned action blocks for the flick. The drama is backed by R Arun under the banner house E5 Entertainments.
On the professional front, actor Samuthirakani will next be seen on screens in Appa 2 headlined and directed by himself with actors Gabriella Charlton and J Vignesh essaying lead roles. The Poraali actor is now engaged in his future flick Arasan helmed by Vetrimaaran in which he will be seen alongside actors Silambarasan, Andrea Jeremiah, & Vijay Sethupathi, Ivan Thanthiran 2 scripted by R Kannan in which he will be sharing screen space with actors Sindhu Priya & Jagan, and a Telugu project Rowdy Janardhana filmed by Ravi Kiran Kola in which he will be joining forces with actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna.
On the other hand, actress Ramya Pandian is eagerly anticipating the release of Idumbankaari crafted by Arul Ajith in which she has teamed up with actors Sshivada, Gopinath Chandran, and Abhishek Joseph George. The Kayilan actress is currently busy shooting for her next venture Arulvaan scripted by Ganesh Vinayak in which she will be partnering with actor Arulnithi.
