Actress Priyamani was last seen on screens in Malayalam cinema in the action crime thriller drama Officer On Duty crafted by debutant story teller Jithu Ashraf with actor Kunchacko Boban in the lead role. The Quotation Gang Part I actress is set to return to Kollywood via the digital space with her upcoming web series titled Good Wife. Veteran actress and director Revathy Asha will be making her debut as a director in Kollywood with the series. It is worth noting that she bagged the National award for her English directorial Mitr, My Friend. Directors Halitha Shameem and Siddharth Ramaswamy will be assisting her on the venture.
The production house themselves has publicized the project on social media. Taking to their official X account, the production team of Jio Hotstar Tamil unveiled a special poster from the series and captioned it, “One night changed everything. Her fight for family begins now. Good Wife coming soon on Jio Hotstar. Good Wife Coming Soon On Jio Hotstar. Jio Hotstar Tamil. Good Wife is the remake of popular English series ‘The Good Wife’ created by Robert King and Michelle King. The ensemble cast of the series has actors Julianna Margulies, Matt Czuchry, Archie Panjabi, and Graham Phillips. The entertainer aired for seven seasons totaling 156 episodes. It was remade in Hindi under the title ‘The Trial’ which was headlined by actress Kajol.
Good Wife will premiere on the Jio Hotstar in languages Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Hindi, and Marathi. An official announcement regarding the release date of the venture is expected to be made soon. Actress Priyamani is no new to digital space. She already has three Hindi series The Family Man, His Story, and Sarvam Shakthi Mayam to her name.
Actor Sampath Raj of Saroja fame will be seen in the role of actress Priyamani’s husband in the series. Actor Aari Arujunan of Nedunchaalai fame has depicted a prominent part in the drama. The rest of the artists that are part of the cast is expected to be revealed soon. Music composer Ghibran Vaibodha has been signed in to compose music for the drama.
Cinematographer Siddharth Ramaswamy will be behind camera for the movie. Editor N B Srikanth has been engaged to oversee the editing division of the project. Art director C Uthayakumar will be engineering sets for the drama. Stunt man Danger Mani will be choreographing action moves for the venture. Good Wife is produced by Deepak Dhar along with Shyam Rathi and Mirnalini Jain under the production company Banijay Asia.
On the professional front, actress Priyamani is currently working on one of the most anticipated movies Jana Nayagan scripted by story teller H Vinoth in which she will be sharing screen space with actors Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Shruthi Haasan, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, & Gautham Vasudev Menon, G.D.N (Gopalswamy Doraiswamy Naidu) helmed by director Krishnakumar Ramakumar in which she will be romancing actor R Madhavan, a couple of Telugu entertainers Sirivennela filmed by Prakash Pulijala in which she will be co starring with actor Sai Tejaswini, and Angulika directed by Prem Aryan in which she will be collaborating with actor Arjan Bajwa.
On the other hand, actor Aari Arujunan is occupied in his next films TN 43 crafted by B Mani Varman in which he will be partnering with actress Anju Kurian, and Man directed by Igore in which he will be teaming up with actress Hansika Motwani. Apart from these movies, the Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathilaey star has a couple of flicks Aleka helmed by S S Raja Mithran in which he has featured alongside actress Aishwarya Dutta, and Bagavan scripted by newbie Kalingan in which he has associated with actress Pujitha Ponnada in the box awaiting release.
