Actor Kalaiyarasan lastly entertained audiences in the action film Karuppu Pulsar scripted by Murali Krish with actors Dinesh and Reshma Venkatesh in lead roles. The Madras actor is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming survival drama christened Kolaiseval. Debutant story teller V R Thudhivaanan has written and directed the movie.
Actress Deepa Balu of Amigo Garage fame has essayed the female lead role in the flick. The production house has already announced that the drama will be released in theaters on 13th of March. They have now shared the trailer of the film on social media.
Taking to his official X account, director Pa Ranjith unveiled the trailer of Kolaiseval and wrote, “The wait ends! Presenting the gripping Kolaiseval Trailer. கொலைச்சேவல், Kolaiseval Trailer, Kolaiseval From March 13. One minute trailer of Kolaiseval opens to an aerial shot of a hillside village and introduces us to the characters in the village. The shot cuts to a boy asking his grandmother, “Which temple are we visiting grandma?” She responds, “To our ancestral deity called Nerasuli.” He then asks, “Why should we worship this god?” She replies, “Your aunty is pregnant. That is why.”
In a scene Deepa Balu tells Kalaiyarasan, “I feel anxious since we left home. Can we go back home?” He insists, “This whole prayer is for us. It will not be good if we do not go.” In the forest temple, Deepa Balu feels the presence of supernatural elements and gets giddy. When Kalaiyarasan asks her, she says, “I feel like both of us have already visited this place.”
Then we witness a gang trying to kill the whole family in the forest temple. Kalaiyarasan puts up a fight to save his family. The trailer ends with the boy expressing, “Grandma, just the thought of the forest makes me scared.”
Apart from Kalaiyarasan and Deepa Balu, the casting crew of the entertainer also has actors Gajaraj, Bala Saravanan, Vijay Sathiya, Aadhav Chanra, and Akaran Venkat depicting various supporting roles. Music director Santhan has been roped in to compose music for the project. Cinematographer P G Muthaiah has been behind camera for the drama.
Editor Ajay Manoj has been hired to work on the editing division of the movie. Art director Saravana Abhiraman has engineered the background for the venture. Stunt master Danger Mani has fashioned action moves for the film. The project is bankrolled by R P Bala and Kousalya Bala under the production company RP Films.
On the work front, actor Kalaiyarasan is eagerly anticipating the release of Train helmed by Mysskin in which he has associated with actors Vijay Sethupathi, Ira Dayanand, & Narain, Pitha scripted by Aathityaa in which he has costarred with actress Anu Keerthy, and Mugam crafted by Sriram Prasath in which he will be seen alongside actress Arundhathi. The Trending actor is now focused on his future movie Vettuvam directed by Pa Ranjith in which he will be collaborating with actors Arya, Dinesh, & Sobhita Dhulipala, Moondram Kan helmed by Sago Ganesan in which he will be partnering with actresses Teju Ashwini & Athulya Chandra, and Street scripted by Harshavardhana in which he will be collaborating with actress Ritu Varma.
On the other hand, actress Deepa Balu will soon have her next release in Telugu cinema via Maremma filmed by Nagaraj Manchala in which she has romanced actor Maadhav Bhupathiraju. The Heart Beat actress is now shooting for her next untitled project crafted by K Balaiya in which she will be sharing screen space with actors Suresh Ravi and Yogi Babu.
