Actor Kalaiyarasan had his last outing in the psychological thriller flick Kolaiseval helmed by V R Thudhivaanan with actress Deepa Balu as female lead. Actor Vidharth was last seen in the thriller film Marutham crafted by Gajendran with actress Rakshana in the female lead role. Both the stars will soon have their next release via the crime thriller Moondram Kan. Debutant director Sago Ganesan has written and directed the movie.
Actress Teju Ashwini of Blackmail fame will be seen in a pivotal role in the project. The venture was extensively shot in and around the neighborhoods of Chennai. Moondram Kan is scheduled to release in theaters on 12th of June. The production house has now launched the teaser of the drama on social media.

One minute teaser of Moondram Kan begins with actor Kalaiyarasan complaining to John Vijay, “Why have you kept your mobile volume high?” He mocks him, “Oh, should I increase it?” The shot cuts to actor Kalaiyarasan warning his wife, “If you complain to the police one more time, I will not be kind.” She responds, “What will I do if you switch off your mobile and hide somewhere.”
In a scene we see actress Teju Ashwini telling Vidharth, “If you are among women, you will start behaving like one.” The second half of the teaser takes a serious turn with a murder of a person, leaving four individuals under suspicion. The teaser ends with actor Kalaiyarasan asking John Vijay, “Should you listen at such a high volume?” He replies, “Is Ilayaraja’s music noise to you?”
Apart from Kalaiyarasan, Vidharth, and Teju Ashwini, the casting team of Moondram Kan also has actors Santhosh Prathap, Athulya Chandra, John Vijay, Thrigun, KPY Sarath, Swetha Dorathy, Radha Srinivasan, and Aiswarya K S depicting various supporting characters. Music director R S Rajprathap has scored background music for the entertainer. While musician Ajesh Ashok has composed music for songs.
Cinematographer N S Uthaya Kumar has worked on the cinematography department of the flick. Editor R Ramar has been roped in to oversee the editing division of the movie. Art director Micheal has fashioned the background for the film. Stunt master Karthik has engineered action moves for the entertainer. Moondram Kan is backed by Sasi Kumar under the production banner White Horse Studios, in affiliation with Sago Ganesan for the production label Trending Entertainment.
On the work front, actor Kalaiyarasan is staring at consecutive releases via Train directed by Mysskin in which he will be seen alongside actors Vijay Sethupathi, Narain, & Ira Dayanand, Mugam helmed by Sriram Prasath in which he has partnered with actress Arundhathi, and Pitha scripted by Aathityaa in which he has collaborated with actress Anu Keerthy. The Madraskaaran actor is currently busy with his next movie Vettuvam filmed by Pa Ranjith in which he will be joining forces with actors Arya, Dinesh, & Sobhita Dhulipala, and Street helmed by Harshavardhana in which he will be featuring with actress Ritu Varma.
