Actor G V Prakash Kumar was last seen on screens in the romantic comedy entertainer Happy Raj directed by newbie director Maria Raja Elanchezian with actress Sri Gouri Priya in the female lead role. The Rebel actor is now busy shooting for his next action movie Vekkai. Debutant story teller Akiran Moses is directing the movie. He has co-written the script of the film with writer Tamizh Prabha.
Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi of Manjummel Boys fame will be playing the second lead in the project. Vekkai will mark his debut as an actor in Tamil cinema. Telugu actor Sunil will be seen as a prominent character in the drama. The production house is planning to wrap the shoot for the venture by the end of August. As they are eyeing to bring the entertainer to theaters this year. Meanwhile, they have now dropped the first look poster of the entertainer on social media.

Vekkai Poster
The first look poster of Vekkai has both G V Prakash Kumar and Sreenath Bhasi throwing a punch at each other with an overlay image of a bustling traffic of a busy city. Vekkai is touted to be an action drama that would tread on class divide and systemic struggles of the oppressed community.
Apart from G V Prakash Kumar, Sreenath Bhasi, and Sunil, the casting unit of the movie also has actors Shivani Rajashekar, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, Lingesh, Mime Gopi, and Yuvan Mayilsamy essaying various supporting roles. G V Prakash Kumar will also be working on the musical division of the flick. Cinematographer Roopesh Shaji has been roped in to take care of the cinematography department of the movie.
Editor Selva R K has been bestowed with the responsibility to bring coherence to the film. Art director Jaya Ragu will be designing the background for the movie. Action master Stunner Sam will be choreographing action blocks for the drama. The entertainer is funded by Pa Ranjith under his home banner Neelam Productions, in collaboration with Venkatesh Velineni and D Lemuel for the production label Divine Productions.
