Actor Sundeep Kishan lastly had a release in Telugu cinema via the romantic comedy movie Mazaka scripted by Trinadha Rao Nakkina with actresses Ritu Varma and Anshu Ambani as female leads. The Kasada Tabara actor is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming Tamil Telugu bilingual action thriller christened Sigma. Actor and politician Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay, a graduate of the Toronto Film school, has penned and crafted the film.
Telugu actress Faria Abdullah will be making her debut in Kollywood with her female lead role in the movie. Dance choreographer and actor Raju Sundaram has portrayed a crucial role in the flick. The shoot for the film took place in various regions of Chennai, Salem, Talakona, and Thailand. The makers have already announced that the flick will be released in theaters worldwide on 31st of July. Earlier, they had released the teaser of the movie on social media. They have now launched the first single from the album.
Taking to his official X handle, story teller Jason Sanjay himself shared the first single ‘Sigma Style’ from Sigma and captioned it, “It’s time to slay. Singers S Thaman, Smile Tupakeys, and Mc Rude have lent their voice for the song. Rappers Smile Tupakeys and Mc Rude have also penned lyrics for the track. The number is mixed and mastered by Shadab Rayeen. Music composer Thaman S has handled musical gear for the drama. The teaser of the film which released earlier was packed with high-octane action blocks and carried a philosophical undertone.
Earlier speaking to a leading media house story teller Jason Sanjay stated, “Sigma is an out and out action project. It follows an ambitious man in pursuit of his goals who is misunderstood by society. I have avoided a grim tone to the flow, and have rather adapted a mix of action, thrill, and comedy. I am positive the audience will have a new cinematic experience watching the movie.”
Besides Sundeep Kishan, Faria Abdullah, and Raju Sundaram, the ensemble cast of the entertainer also has actors Sampath Raj, Sheela Rajkumar, Shiv Panditt, Naga Sai, Anbu Thasan, Magalakshmi Sudarsanan, Yog Japee, Kamalesh, and Kiran Konda in various supporting roles. Cinematographer Krishnan Vasant has overseen the cinematography division of the film.
Editor Praveen K L has been trusted with the editing division of the flick. Art director Benjamin M has engineered sets for the project. Action directors Venkat and Stunt Silva have choreographed action blocks for the movie. The venture is bankrolled by Allirajah Subaskaran under the production banner Lyca Productions.
On the work front, actor Sundeep Kishan is awaiting his next release in the digital space via Super Subbu directed by Mallik Ram in which he has collaborated with actresses Mithila Palkar and Manasa Chowdary. The Raayan actor is now working on his upcoming Tamil drama Maayaone helmed by C V Kumar in which he will be teaming up with actress Akansha Rajan Kapoor, a couple of his Telugu films Power Peta directed by Krishna Chaitanya in which he will be costarring with actress Rithika Nayak, and Vibe filmed by RSJ Swaroop in which he will be joining forces with actress Shruti Sharma.
On the other hand, actress Faria Abdullah is currently busy shooting for her future Tamil project Valli Mayil scripted by Suseenthiran in which she will be sharing screen space with actor Vijay Antony, Bhagavanthudu crafted by G Gopi Vihari in which she will be seen alongside actor Thiruveer, and an untitled Telugu movie under the direction of Lakshmi Narayana Puttamchetty in which she will be joining forces with actor Satyadev Kancharana.
