Actor Guru Somasundaram was last seen on screens in a supporting part in the political satire film My lord directed by Raju Murugan with actors Sasikumar and Chaithra J Achar in lead roles. The Bayamariya Brammai actor is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming drama christened Paris Cafe. He has headlined the project. Newbie director Saraj Seelan has written and helmed the flick.
Malayalam actress Anumol K Manoharan of Haraa fame has played the role of actor Guru Somasundaram’s wife in the movie. The entertainer was shot in multiple locations in Chennai and Pondicherry. The makers are yet to announce a date for the release of the drama. However, they have already begun to promote the film. As part of it, they had recently shared the first single from the flick on social media. They have now launched the teaser of the venture.
Taking to his official X account, director and actor Sasikumar dropped the teaser of Paris Cafe and captioned it, “Paris Cafe official teaser is out now! Looks so impressive, looking forward . . .!!! Directed by Saraj Seelan. One minute teaser of Paris Cafe opens to jump cuts that establish the many facets of actor Guru Somasundaram. The shot cuts to a woman informing her lover, “I am going back to India.” Following which, we have a few shots that capture the bonding moments between Guru Somasundaram, Anumol K Manoharan, and their daughter.
In a scene we hear a woman’s voiceover, “Gautham, ours is a love marriage.” The second half of the teaser plunges into a grim mystery following a murder that tears a family apart. The teaser ends with a cipher note, ‘Lovely family, a buried truth, the guilt, the love demands justice.’
The star cast of Paris Cafe also includes actors Archana Kumar, Vijay Vishwa, Sai Vicky, and Nayana Sai. The musical department of the entertainer has been handed over to music director K. Already a single ‘Azhagazhagai Manam’ in the vocals of Kapil Kapilan, Gayathree, & Dr. Oviya Saravana Raj lyrics written by Vivek Velmurugan, is out from the album. Cinematographer Sathish Babu has been behind the lens for the drama.
Editor V J Sabu Joseph has been signed in to edit the flick. Art director Dhamu MFA has designed the background for the entertainer. Stunt director Action Sandhosh has fashioned action blocks for the venture. Paris Cafe is produced by Kanmani Ranganathan under the production label L V Entertainment, along with Vengal M Lingeshwaran for the production company Thunder Media.
On the work side, actor Guru Somasundaram is awaiting back-to-back releases in Vettuvam crafted Pa Ranjith in which he has worked with actors Arya, Dinesh, & Sobhita Dhulipala, Kaagangal directed by Anand Annamalai in which he has collaborated with actors Yogi Babu & Lijo Mol Jose, Demonte Colony 3 helmed by Ajay Gnanamuthu in which he will be seen alongside actors Arulnithi & Priya Bhavani Shankar, and a Telugu film Dragon scripted by Prashanth Neel in which he has associated with actor N T Rama Rao Jr. The Bottle Radha actor is now occupied in his next Telugu movie Mysaa created by Rawindra Pulle in which he will be performing alongside actresses Rashmika Mandanna & Easwari Rao.
On the other hand, actress Anumol K Manoharan is anticipating her next release via a Malayalam movie Lurk filmed by M A Nishad in which she has shared screen space with actors Aju Varghese & Saiju Kurup, and Udampadi created by Suresh Peter Thomas in which she has featured with actors Prakash Bare & Sujith Shanker. The Ayali actress is presently shooting for her upcoming Malayalam drama Walking Over Water crafted by Joshy Joseph in which she will be co-starring with actor Joshy Jose, and Whine helmed by Saheer Abbas in which she will be joining forces with actress Angel Shijoy.
