Actor Arjun Das last graced the silver screens in the musical adventure children film Kumki 2 crafted by Prabhu Solomon with actors Mathi and Shrita Rao in the lead roles. The Good Bad Ugly actor is now gearing up for the release of his next romantic drama Once More. Debutant director Vignesh Srikanth, who previously served as a dialogue writer for Por, has penned and directed the flick.
Actress Aditi Shankar of Viruman fame will be seen in the female lead part in the movie. The shoot for the project extensively took place across multiple locations in Chennai. The production team has set summer as the release window for the entertainer. An official release date is expected to be announced soon. Meanwhile, the makers have now launched a single from the album on social media.
Taking to their official X handle, the production team of Million Dollar Studios shared a special poster along with a link to the track ‘Indra’ from Once More and captioned it, “The monsoon of Malayalam showering the melody of Tamil “Indra” Song from Once More. Singer Hanan Shaah has lent his voice for the track. Director Vignesh Srikanth has inked Tamil lyrics. While lyricist Arun Alat has penned Malayalam lyrics of the song. The number is mixed and mastered by Harishankar V. Music director Hesham Abdul Wahab has composed music for the entertainer.
Already five numbers ‘Vaa Kannamma’ in the vocals of Uthara Unnikrishnan, ‘Edhira Pudhira’ crooned by D Sathyaprakash, ‘Meenduma’ sung by Aavani Malhar, ‘Idhayam’ crooned by Vineeth Sreenivasan, and Miss Oruthi in the voice of Naresh Iyer is already out from the album. Story teller Vignesh Srikanth himself has written lyrics for all the tracks.
Earlier speaking about the movie director Vignesh Srikanth revealed, “My debut venture will be a wholesome breezy romance film. It revolves around Arjun Das and Aditi Shankar who fall in love with each other. The interesting aspect is that they both have a contrasting personality. Not just the two of them, even their family members and friends. How they navigate their differences is what forms the crux of the story.”
He further added, “It will be in the lines of Mani Ratnam sir’s O Kadhal Kanmani. I have tried to capture the difficulties and complexities in today’s relationships. Also, the magical moments that only transpires when two polar-opposite personalities fall in love.” Interestingly, ‘Once More’ is the title of actor Vijay’s 1997 classic romantic movie. The casting unit of Once More also includes actors Khushbu Sundar, Sarath Kumar, Shiv Panditt, Kalki Koechlin, Prabhu, and George Kora.
Cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan has been behind the lens for the film. Editor Nash has been roped in to edit the drama. Art director Raj Kamal has designed the background for the venture. Once More is funded by Yuvaraj Ganesan under the production banner Million Dollar Studios in affiliation with V R Vamsi for the production banner FYNTEMAX.
On the work front, actor Arjun Das will soon have back-to-back releases in Love directed by Balaji Mohan in which he has shared screen space with actress Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Con City scripted by Harish Durairaj in which he has featured alongside actress Anna Ben. The Master actor is presently engaged in his next movie Rolex crafted by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will be starring with actors Suriya & Vijay Sethupathi, Kaithi 2 helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which he will be seen alongside actor Karthi, and a Malayalam entertainer Torpedo filmed by Tharun Moorthy in which he will be teaming up with actor Fahadh Faasil.
On the other hand, actress Aditi Shankar is now focused on a couple of her untitled projects under the directorial of Ram Kumar in which she will be romancing actor Vishnu Vishal, and another venture directed by M Rajesh in which she will be partnering with actor Atharvaa Murali.
